- So a few weeks ago I saw these crazy pants on twitter - and thought instantly that we had to try them out for our ~questionable fashion decision~ series! So I got these Bronze56k 9-foot-long extendo jeans, just to see if they could be styled and generally how crazy they were! What do you think? Would you dare try these pants?
PS, please excuse the boxes of old makeup in my closet! We filmed this while we were filming our decluttering video - so we hadn't thrown them away yet! Hehe :).

Where as I'm sure this is very true, I think the joke is that big skater shoes and torn up baggy pant cuffs go together like peanut butter and jelly. Too long of pants and parents yelling at their kids to wear a belt is kinda part of the skater culture, and this is a statement 'art' piece in that line of thinking, but to the extreme... like she said, a publicity thing, but if there was one ridiculous piece of gear a skating company could sell, it was this.
Having been a theater tech/band kid myself who lived somewhere between my goth friends, metalhead/punk friends, skater friends, and otaku friends, I distinctly remember my mom getting upset that all my denim jeans were frayed at the heels. The rest of my clothes were show shirts, pep band shirts, or (90% of my wardrobe) black. I just feel lucky she was never upset about my Tripp pants with their many chains or how many of my jackets had anime silhouettes on the back, she even liked my Ghibli messenger bag with Totoro on the front, but she hated that all my pants got scuffed so badly. Truth is, I wore plenty of (mostly studded) belts, but the style of skater stuff is that 'baggy and kinda too long, even when it fits you' look.
These pants made a weird amount of sense to me, actually, but they are still really stupid lol
