that was such an ace and underrated show btw... Superband had so many talented and good artists and no drama for the camera like many other shows but more focus on creativity and music. I love how he shakes as he breaths in so emotional, they made an angsty song even more emotional (love Creep its such a nostalgia trip to my teens)
I didn't know about this show, I'll look into it, they're amazing
@@MonaLisa-we4kw its worth checking out though not that many episodes are translated but just watching their performances are really great. I do think they removed alot of them from youtube but i think they are still up on naver. The auditions of the Hopipolla members and i specially loved Gift audition with Vincent, Lee Chansol with Everglow, one group assignment with ILYSB, one with Smooth... the other finalist Purple Rain was also great... ah too many to mention :) one of the few talent shows where i wouldnt be disapointed no matter who won in the end because they were all so talented.

I was impressed with the songs I heard, but forgot the name of the band until I saw it in your reaction title! BTW, one of your variations in pronunciation of the name was right! The one where you put equal stress on each syllable!

Isn't it wonderful? I have been having the best time exploring Asian musicians for the past year.
I watched this performance alone the first time so there was no-one to share my awe and delight with. These reaction videos are fun because it is as though I am sharing the experience. Me enthusiastically saying " I KNOW, right?!" at the screen every time you say "Gorgeous!". Just thought you might like to know. This was truly one of my all time favourite performances because of the all round musical talent but also the feel of the performance. I may have cried first time around. Thanks to the person who recommended it for the reminder. GORGEOUS!!!
Love the singers from Hoppipolla especially the contrast between the tenor and high baritone and the harmonies are to die for!

Look for Hoppipolla from the Korean show Superband. You can find songs from them on YT. The clips from their performances on the Superband show were taken down by the main channel JTBC on YT, do not know why. You can find the performances on the Naver web site (without subs though).

@@yukihua3651 You are welcome. If you like this band, check out the band Moné which was formed during the show SuperBand as project band as well. They composed their own songs during the show. They do not play together after the show. They did not win (Hoppipolla was the winner) but the members are in the industry, two of them are part of a band and the rest are solo/independent musicians. You can find their songs here on you tube as well.

Could you maybe check out Forestella? They're a Korean crossover group and the kings of harmonies! Their vocals are insane! Check out their covers of "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Champions" on Immortal Songs! I love Champions more but Bohemian Rhapsody is probably their signature performance
