@@sameergamer4life700 They both have strengths and weaknesses. DC is good when it's dark, but sometimes it goes too dark, and they seem to lose control of it. Their sense of humour is almost always badly done (save for Shazam perhaps). Marvel can be very childish, but it knows when to stop, and to focus on what's more important. This does mean they sacrifice some key elements of the character from the comics i.e. made Thor quite weak.
The opening scene introducing Batman with Pattinson's Monologue about how the criminals fear him while this plays was cinematic perfection.

This film made a whole new genre for Batman movies. Incredibly shot, dark and gritty, a story that pulls you in, spot on acting, and honestly everything and anything you can ask for a Batman movie. 10/10

Pattinson in one movie is better than Christian Bale in entire trilogy
So one of my best friends and I decided to watch this opening night. We didnβt know exactly what to expect as far as how good the movie would really be. But it just so happened that Robert himself visited our theatreβs screening for the movie to give some opening words. Man did we all get hyped up, opening night and Batman himself came to tell us he loved making the movie and he hopes we enjoy and that thereβll be a sequel.

I love that this song wasn't just in the trailer, but it was actually used throughout the movie. It's perfect and easily is stuck in my head now.
History repeats itself. Everyone was skeptic when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker. It turned out to be a legendary performance. The same will happen with Pattinson. He's gonna kill it.

Not really the difference was ledger was known for 10 things I hate about you and brokeback mountain, and only played dramatic roles in lesser known indie movies. Pattinson had Twilight sure, but even before the lighthouse he was doing so much work to separate himself from that initial image. If someone still thinks Pattinson is that twilight guy than they haven't payed attention to movies for a decade. pretty much the Ledger criticism made sense at the time nobody could have predicted that level of preformance from him besides maybe somebody close to him.

Just got out of the theatre an hour ago. This movie is incredible. The story seems like its over at about two hours and 20 minutes into the movie, but it just keeps it going while nailing what it had previously done. What an incredible film. 10/10

I agree. Pattison nailed the traumatized yet intellectual Batman, Dano made the Riddler like the Zodiac Killer, and Kravitz poured her heart and soul into Selina Kyle. But more importantly, it felt like an actual detective story which is what Batman was always about: Being the World's Greatest Detective.

Just watched this movie yesterday, perfect adaptation of Batman imo.
he's finally acting like a detective, a dark, mysterious, full of fear and contempt to his enemies with a cold, striking, emotionless expression to truly send that fear to their spine.
The cast in general were fantastic, they all held their roles extremely well, no one seemed nor felt really out of place. The music & atmosphere was probably my favorite thing about this movie, the unsettling nature it gives off, the foreboding, menacing premonition it sends you to your spine during the big moments were directed & captured perfectly, the atmosphere of Gotham was phenomenal, you could really feel how dangerous it really is and how strong Batmans resolve to fix Gotham really is.
Amazing movie and its by far my favorite adaptation for Batman to date. Shout-out to Patterson for the perfect encapsulation of Batmans character, didn't think he'd nail it but boy did he absolutely blow away my expectations. 9/10.

@Duc Long Nguyen well, thank Matt Reeves actually. I believe he had way more to do with it than Robert Pattinson. By the look of it so far, this Batman is entirely different to Bale's Batman which Pattinson also has to take some props for

@Chewbacca Pattinson's Batman relies on realism even more than Bale's, even going as far as not including any futuristic high-tech gadgets. His suit is obviously homemade, he's wearing standard combat boots, batmobile is just a regular tuned-up car, batcave is just an abandoned subway station, etc. It's much more similar to Bale's realistic approach than to Affleck's.
FlagFlow 12 itβs more βrealistic β because heβs starting out if we ever got a sequel (which I hope not) then I think heβd turn into a more batfleck like creature

This portrayal of batman has the potential to be incredible. The trailer seems to paint him in the light of a confused, raging victim. A young man angry at the world and himself. The scene of him pummeling that thug was pure hatred, not justice.
Perhaps the most interesting Batman is not the hero you admire, or envy, or fear. The most interesting Batman, is the one you pity.

That does make sense since that would be the most realistic perspective of such a character.
Its year 2 so he is still finding himself and he needs to install as much fear in the bad guys as possible so the violence is in this case is for a reason.
I really love the idea of a Bruce Wayne thatβs totally lost a grip on himself. This man is up all hours of the night pushing his body and mind to the limits and still has to be barely functioning the next day. I like how in the Dark Knight they had a scene of Wayne sleeping during a board meeting but Baleβs Wayne persona always too well put together for me.
Pattinson looks like he can pass off as a rich boy who spends his nights coked up and partying. To the rest of the world, heβs privileged, irresponsible and wrecking his body because of it. You canβt live the life of Batman and wake up the next day and act like nothingβs happening. Instead of using his Wayne persona to help his work as Batman, he literally gives up any enjoyment of a rich life for vengeance.
Especially those last punches he put down on that guy was just pure rage

definately onscreen, I got a real different vibe off watching a still frame of Batman making a criminal into a cripple and i love it instead of all the quick camera jumps to a rehearsed fight scene of some flyby asskicking. This is awesome.

How can people see a theme music . It can't be seen . And the trailer is way darker than Daredevil !! And the red theme might refer to Blood or Angriness . And Batman does not have a part on his suit with red colour ..

Thereβs one thing that I love about him, his walk. He walks slowly because he knows, once youβre his target you can never get away from him. And he knows he will get you no matter how hard you try and hide/run/kill him.

@@yungrottz112 it will. They are setting this up to be a series. I heard that this version of Batman will have 6 main villians and the Joker won't have a big role in the earlier films, only at the end of the sequels, but they will tease him often up until his first major appereance.

Odds are pretty good that he'll be fine. Most people that get it usually recover with few symptoms. What I admire is that they are still continuing production on everything that doesn't include Robert. And also he strikes me as the guy who is very nonchalant and considering that so far he has not posted or said anything on social media milking the covid for all its worth, I wouldn't be surprised if he treats this like a minor inconvenience. But that is just the way I see it.
