The Blues as the King knew them, were nothing short of pure poetry in motion. BB is gone, SRV is gone, Hell, even Elvis could sing the genre to a different drummer. That's why the Blues are timeless, and limitless, because everyone gets the Blues now and again. A musician /singer/entertainer, always leaves room for another to pick up and pass along the torch. I can't wait to get to Heaven, so that I can meet and greet these ambassadors of good will . Adios

John Lee Hooker was an American singer-songwriter and musician who is frequently described as the one greatest blues guitarists in history. One of the most authentic practitioners of Mississippi Delta blues, his distinctive baritone explored themes such as depression, poverty, alcohol and promiscuity. Hooker’s primitive but powerfully timeless songs created a huge impact on rhythm and blues and rock ‘n’ roll.

@@edwardjimenezjimenez I don't know, to see this is incredible, I'm too young to have caught it first time around, caught glimpses of it growing up in the sixties and seventies, "t.v., looking back", and being able to see it on youtube is incredible, it brings a century of great new music, to the forefront, as never could before. I watched Chuck Berry in concert, in Chicago, in about 72, as a teen, and a few others of great talent, but what is available today is simply incredible.

This is probably the finest blues performance I have ever seen. I love the dancing girl at about 3:53 into the performance. Very memorable. I wonder if she's still around and knows that she's a star.

My post was poorly worded. My comment about this being the best blues performance I had ever seen was referring to John Lee Hooker and the rest of the performers. The comment about the girl dancing being very memorable, was an aside.
