The sticky hand absolutely killed me😂😂😂
Same honestly
I’m rolling on the floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same. When it stuck to the fridge, I couldn't stop giggling.
That was freakin hilarious
That's what she said
she should copyright that smile. wow.
+busywl69 I love all the SNL smiles, they are all so over the top and vacuous. :-)
Some people have a smile that makes me feel happy when I see it. Vanessa's smile is like that.
Tina Burton i like her
I agree
@@blakes5827 same here
why did i get legitimately sad when she tried to show him the bee and he dismissed her
Dad issues? That's my best guess
Me too.

Me too
...y'all are feeling bad because she drew a kiddie drawing?
Funny skit. But it's also sad because there are actually couples like this....
Helen West true though
r/funnyandsad
Sad. 😞. Ya. 'Cause when the boys leave, she's half cut on wine, scratches his face, punches him, calls the cops, then commanderes his home. Sad, indeed
Why is it sad for men to do stuff with the guys and woman to do stuff with the girls
Couples that’s just waiting for divorce to knock on the door.
"For grown women ages 5 and up"
I wonder if anyone caught that
To real.
💀💀💀
I didn't know Jeffrey Epstein owned Totino's.
R Kelly: “I’ll buy 10.”
I'm a woman and I find this hilarious. It's a commercial that makes fun of other commercials. In a real commercial the men are enjoying the superbowl, while the wife brings them in a nice meal with a huge smile. SNL's commercial is simply poking fun at how silly that is. Most households that I know if at least EVERYONE is in the living room (Dad, mom, kids, friends, etc.).
I'm a man and I actually found this.... genuinely kinda sad (for the woman I mean) wow.... should be treated better
***** I don't know many women who would rather be in the kitchen when guests/everyone is in the family room. Maybe those who enjoy cooking would make something before the game, but not during the game.
skyhr
Well trust me women (or men) aren't often going to be treated quite this badly hehe. But, yeah, sometimes people treat other people badly, sometimes that's men treating women badly, sometimes it's women treating men badly, sometimes it's women treating women badly, well, you get the idea :) Sure, I hope there is as small a percentage as possible of people getting treated badly :)
*****
skyhr Jesus! It's a effing comedy skit, get over it!
Vanessa was, by far, the best actress to play these stereotypical "domestic" women in TV ads. Julia Sweeney was also great at this. She really sells the stupidity of advertising culture.
Agreed
The dead inside smile and tone of voice really make this skit for me.
@@hopper8514 Oh yeah, if it wasn’t Vanessa it wouldn’t be nearly as iconic
Plus shes so friggin beautiful and funny
Victoria Jackson
Do people not get that this was mocking the sexist nature of super bowl ads and the culture itself?
I'm honestly shocked that people in the comments haven't understood this...
Right, it seems to me that it's not supporting these stereotypes, but the exact opposite, showing the problems with them.
Do you not get that this was made to get you to eat pizza rolls? Theres no message here other than buy our shitty pizza rolls.
Can you give an example of a commercial that is like this? I was looking some up but couldn't find anything and I didn't see any sexist commercials while watching the super bowl, but to be fair I was also not paying a lot of attention.
Patrick McLain
It's called native advertising. Totinos paid for this..
I freaking love the satire. It's so beautiful.
Yess i agree
Too close to reality and I am a guy.
what kind of satire is this, exaggeration, reversal, incongruity, or parody?
@@dalinpiao9927 Did your teacher make this an assignment too? lol
@@abstracttouch brooo yes🤣she got us analyzing snl commercials for satire
I fucking love this. The message is fucking amazing.
+ANIMEADDICT238 what's the message...
+Brian Fantana It's a skit that aims to show the "inequality of women" in the U.S as viewed by popular (feminist-dominated) media and college professors. So basically, the "message" is rooted in a fictional, extreme interpretation of society.
+Mr. LHD6 Well, you could take it that way if you really want to find extreme feminism in it, but have you seriously never seen this kind of "no girls allowed" behavior? not with older people? not with kids?
Sure, it's usually not this obvious but the point of satire is to exaggerate problems in society to make the ridiculousness of it more noticeable and to make it funny.
I think I've seen more subtle versions of this scene in real life, which is why I'm kind of taken aback by your use of the word "fictional" because I'm taking it to mean "made up from scratch".
Is that maybe not what you meant?
+Mr. LHD6 it's a joke haven't u ever seen sutuday night live? lol
If a woman brings out a tray for her husband and his friends cause she wants them to have a good time for a once-a-year event, that obviously means she is completely stifled and infantilized by a domineering husband because feminism.
Amazing fucking message.
*tries to imagine a guy making margaritas for his wife and her girlfriends' book club meeting*

Well, that’s a normal thing outside the USA.
It always amazes me to see how, hm, reactionary the gender relations and gender stereotypes are in the US.
Maybe you should travel more.
That'd be an awesome companion sketch to this actually
Anything for my hungry guys! lol she is sooooo funny

+YJ WEI She won me over as the little girl trying out for a musical. Her caricature of a young bad actor seemed so spot on!
Kurt Wei clever sketch in what way? That the husband is kind of a misogynist or that the wife was playing the part of a "dutiful wife"?
Clever by half maybe?
Dusty Boot The skit is satirizing commercials that paint wives as airheads, whose only relevance in life is to feed their dumb husbands and his friends shitty food. Cmon. Use your brain.
Hey genius, when's the last time you saw a commercial made in the United States, or anywhere else in the Western world for that fact, that portrayed women as airheads?
Plenty of commercials paint men, especially white man as airheads and cuoks, but never women. Seriously brainstorm, find me some good CURRENT examples of your claim. You can't.
Kurt Wei Yet you can't even spell her name.
On the bright side it's far more intellectually stimulating than screaming at a television for four hours.
See in this first Tostinos skit, you can see she's married to J.K Simmons. But if you see the look Beck gives her at 0:08, you can tell they get married. That is, until she met
*Sabine*
They need to get Kristen Stewart back on so she can be watching the game with the guys asking for more totinos
@@edmann1820 Vanessa Bayer isn't on SNL any more.
I love how someone else noticed that 😂
They should do a skit on cleaning commercials too. It's almost always the woman doing the cleaning in those commercials. Brilliant sketch.
when they do a skit about female getting lighter prison sentences and men getting screwed ver in the court system.
Joseph LeForte whether that is true or not it doesn't justify the systematic violation of civil rights, discrimination, and subordination of the female gender. No one has a right to put off someone expressing their views about sexism and misogyny in television commercials because this other idea you have hasn't been performed in a sketch by someone. You can't pretend that white men haven't had an advantage over women throughout history by the use of systematic discrimination, intimidation and threats towards women. This is not to say that men can't be victims as well but they simply were not subject to the same kind of discrimination and mistreatment as women were and still are in some parts of the world.
leapinglemur452
Excellent comment!!
Why are we bashing SNL for playing this skit? They are making fun of the people that are like this, not supporting it. People are treating this like a real advertisement.
I have not read one comment that bashed them. It just depressed some people because there are people who see themselves in it. It’s really not that far off. Which makes great satire.
1:30 I love that sticky stretchy hand!

I just recently binge watched several of SNL kits and ads since the past few days and I must say Vanessa Bayer is my most or 2nd most favorite SNL cast behind Kristen Wiig 😂😍 She's just so funny and she always make me smile or laugh whenever she's in the skit. I love her smile, it's cute and funny at the same time, especially when she plays that kind of character 😂😂
"No, she's good. She has a little activity pack"
That's what I usually say to my friends when I need to keep my cat out of my room.
0:08 Looks like Beck is hungry for something else tbh
As a feminist, I find this hysterical. It points out how messed up commercials and stereotypes are with the perfect amount of sarcasm.
As a human I also find this funny, because I am definitely human. I am not a bot, no, I am a person like you, that's why I find this funny 👍
Why are you explaining obvious
As a fuckoffist. i can say fuck off
Im surprised no one pointed out how at the end it says "grown women ages 5 and up" So age 5 is when someone becomes a grown woman....
well it's also as messed up with commercials who make men left alone in the house to be idiots who blow up the kitchen and ruin the house when wife is away. sexist and BS.
My English teacher played this for our class yesterday when we were learning about satire and it was hilarious!
Nobody could sell this sketch conceit better than Vanessa 😂😂😂
"I finished that activity pack you gave me.""Open another one, then."
That was fucking hilarious! Love Vanessa!
+Bree S. I love u
This is more sad than funny. Why do men treat their wives this way? Why do women allow themselves to be treated this way? Ugh.
There is this thing that occurs in human nature that is known as : "A joke". I suggest you google the phrase.
HappyColdCut Hey dude, apparently you don't get why this is a "joke". I suggest you Google the content of this video.
Also jokes are derived from culture, not human nature which is independent of culture.
HappyColdCut
Um, it was on SNL. I realize it's just a joke. But the source of the joke is based on a real phenomenon where men treat their wives like subservient slaves and neglect her.
I suggest you google the phrase ignorance and before you decide to try to comment back with something stupid, know two things. I won't read it and the fact that you don't see why this is fucked up, means you really are a dumb fucking moron. You realize you're part of the problem? But of course you wouldn't know, you think it's just a joke. Soon shitty people like you won't be a part of this planet, so have fun while you're here.
Chris Seigle
Wow, everyone. Look how angry and defensive Chris is. I think he treats his wife just like the douche in this skit. Musta struck a nerve.

LOL next activity pack contains a gun, a cutter & divorce papers.
Lol always funny when one spouse murders their spouse
lol did she marry the guys in the flannel for the new commercial

The guy who asked that was sweet and cared about her. She should ditch her turd husband for him!
@@vegancandy9570 He was just temporary, he ended up asking for more Totino’s Pizza Rolls like her last husband. But don’t worry, she does end up with a happy ending with Kristen Stewart, doing more than feeding her hungry guys.
This ad gave me multiple brain tumours.
The Totino’s commercials is one of the greatest trilogies of all time
The message in this is obvious. The husband is telling his wife that her job is to serve and cook for them and stay in the kitchen. I can't imagine treating my wife like that. There is a powerful message here. Husbands, treat your wife with respect, and don't make her feel left out. She's more important than a game and she's not your slave.
+jesse p I think we all got the satire, point....but thank you captain obvious....lol.....well done SNL.
+KingQuaye1999 no kidding?
+jesse p Exactly. First time my ex joked about making a sandwich, I made him one, to show I wasn't 'sensitive' or 'offended.'
This resulted in me being seen as a doormat and the whole group shouting at me if I refused to make him another or people taking his side whenever I got 'angry' (protested) or offended.
I am never making anyone a sandwich again before they have made one for me first.
Widdekuu91 Yeah, sexist behavior is a very real subject, and reality for many women. I grew up watching men treat my mother like that and I promised myself to never treat women like that. I understand. People think its a dumb thing to get angry about but it's the logic behind it that's insulting. If a man expects you to make him a sandwich because you're a woman, then that isn't respect. A lot of men secretly think they are better than women because of gender roles. Always own your power, or someone will always try and take it away. I hope you are no longer with this person because they don't honestly love you or they wouldn't treat you like that.
+jesse p I'm no longer with him, he's my ex, it said so in the comment xD Thanks for your words, I will put my foot down the next time I'm in a situation like that. It was difficult back then, not to break under the pressure of the other people, it seems so logical when everyone get's angry at you, that you must be the bad person. It took me a while to see that. But now it's clear as day, I'm hoping I'll find someone that won't try to play such tricks again :P

No body does the "pleasant woman in commercials" better than Vanessa. She is so funny.
Honestly that pack looks more interesting than the actual super bowl.
I had a colleague like this. His wife went for a week on a business trip and he was literally bored, depressed, didn't know what to do. We were quite surprised to know he had no life besides his wife.
At least that's what I take from this scenario -> that the wife has 2+hours of free time yet has absolutely no shit to do, many people are like this. No hobbies, no life goals, sad really.
but it sounds like his wife was his hobby and life goal.
Gonk Yeah but you can't be chained like this. It's not only a waste since there are billions of things to do, but if suddenly something happens and you have to change, it's very stressful. If you have one thing you care about and your whole life goes around like this, you are literally one dimensional character. :/
*****
I know this will be a strange thing to say, but... I don't know, if you already have a happy life, why would you need a spouse then? :p
It seems like this reasoning might justify polygamy :p
I'll get one for myself too, as I'd rather do that, including eating that pizza roll, than watch the super bowl :)
