@@Sashazur It’s called ‘aspirational advertising’ and you are absolutely correct. However I find this particular approach condescending, and it comes off tone-deaf to the times (which is the whole point of the sketch). Happy, attractive people in massive, brightly lit homes selling me stuff is fine, it’s these over-the-top adverts that I find ridiculous. What makes it worse is we get these shoved down our throats while trying to watch our favorite shows.. and many (not all) streaming services now have ads, too. I get they are not selling it to me per se, but the point still remains.
P.S. I also despise the Peloton ads for the same reason. All of them.

This actually happened with my grandpa and grandma one year for her birthday. We thought he was having us help surprise her with a truck she wanted, but it turns out she didn't want one and he actually just was using it as an excuse to get himself another truck, and she was rightfully PISSED.

Am I the onky that thinks this 2019 cast was so talented. A very underrated group. All of them are really good individually and yet had great chemistry together. The cast favs and stand outs Kenan, Kate, Cecily, Aidy, Beck, Kyle, Mikey, Chris, Heidi, Melissa and even Pete. This became my favorite group. I was sad to see them get retired....well all except Kenan.

Well, i think while this is still ad its pretty smart and "correct" ad. Despite it suggest peoples who can afford such car to get it it clearly says "Wait, you CAN afford it, right? Its GIFT, but not from us, its not FREE, you got it?". Its better then simple "Go purchase our car NOW, we dont care how"

Am I dreaming or is this simply one of the most perfectly filmed and perfectly acted commercial spoofs in the history of SNL? I keep watching it and it keeps getting better every time.
