- I knocked on this door hoping someone would answer because their lawn was getting pretty out of shape. It didn't look like an abandoned home but I thought I would check with the neighbor just in case. She told me that the homeowner died about 2 years ago and nobody had been taking care of the house. So, I made it look amazing again and the neighbor was so happy with the results!

One thing I’ve noticed in watching many of your videos, apart from the stellar job you do every time… is that many, if not most, of these streets in these cities are in dire need of repaving..it makes me sad that in the US, our cities infrastructure is falling apart and neglected. We need city governments to care about maintenance and doing a fine job for neighborhoods the way you do, SB… you’re setting a remarkable example…😁!
Sad part is, we pay taxes for roads that are designed to fail... and then they don't fix them.
My sister works for the government and it angers her that we have the ability to make roads last an INCREDIBLY long time, but government designs them to fail to in about 10-20 years in order to, "secure jobs for the next generation". It's a bunch of bs.

I never fail to watch your vids that the proud old daddy in me doesn’t just jump to the forefront. You do my heart good son. I can only imagine how insanely proud your own dad must be of you. The ONLY thing I didn't like, is that you blew quite alot of your dirt and soil into the next door neighbours lawn and didn't show us if you asked permission to go onto their premises to blow the dirt BACK onto the abandoned building's side and then, maybe, onto the roads; instead of just allowing it all to blow towards the next door neighbour's driveway. If it was me, i would've been pissed that I allowed for all that noise and then to come outside and see all that dirt blown onto my side!
Other than that, an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND PRISTINE JOB! 😊

What a loving gesture of kindness!! The gentleman cannot see it, of course but if he could he’d have tears of thankfulness!! I guess I’m just emotional about it as my husband died 10 years ago this very day. And I’m losing our home to the bank and will be gone by June 30th. So everything’s falling apart. Just another bad day I guess. Anyway, I think it’s wonderful that you serve people like this!!!

It's good that he does these for free and stuff why throw all the weeds and dirt on top of the grass it doesn't do the job justice it makes it look worse

I think you don't understand, if you put that in a bag and take to the landfill all the good nutrients end in garbage ,but here go back to the grass and in 3 o 4 weeks ir looks perfect.
@@mascarenhas9624 in leaves there is yes but there won't be any nutrients in dust and dirt it's not like any fertilizers has been added to that dirt it would be normal top soil I was just asking a genuine question and I know scattering the cut grass with a lawn mower while cutting with no grass bin can reseed patchy grass but it was the dirt and dust I can't see any value in that hence my genuine question
@@aarondawson9990 - It actually costs money to take the materials to the dump. Plus the time, gas/petrol. Also in the region we are in, soil conservation is an issue as an after-effect of The Great Dustbowl in the early 1900's. Over-farming without soil conservation efforts, combined with biblical levels of drought allowed the tilled and plowed but empty fields to bake and dry and the wind whipped it up into *massive* dust storms that swept vast swaths of the country.
It's taken a long time to recover and it's still not great. So a lot of folks in this region (The Midwest) tend to try to keep as much dirt and soil with the property. We're better about soil conservation now. (You'll see most farms have tree-lined fields as wind breaks, better irrigation systems, and if a field is not being used, they don't plow it, etc).
Some of these ideas carry over into lawn care. But it's also a cost/benefit thing. Usually too, when the dirt and such are tossed back up onto the property, when it is mowed, it gets processed down. Broken up and mulched, the dirt is going to sink back into the grass and help break down the clippings.
The that annoys me is when it is so dry out there that a lot of the time the process of blowing it all back into the yard and the like makes the whole neighborhood air dusty for a bit. Granted, it's only a minor inconvenience. Though I imagine it's hell on the allergies.

@@ayo9057 that goes out once a week and mows yards for free. sure, he gets advertisement revenue for the vids, but i HIGHLY doubt the ad revenue equals an entire days work (sometimes two days).

What a cute home (minus the carpet lol), and you couldn't see it until you cleaned it up, I love that suprise ending! I also love the way you methodically edge, trim, & blow in small sections, it seems more enjoyable for video when you can see the cleanup progressing. 👍

Sometimes there is no family left. When I die it all goes in the dumpster.
I am wondering why is a house so long after a death not sold? Does it take so long to make up the paperwork after a inherence? Supposing the man had heirs

I was thinking the same thing. maybe the family lives out of state and has no time to deal with it. I have a house on my street. the guy died, his son is making over his own house to sell it then move into this one. it could be a long process. at least the son takes care of the property in the meantime.
Sometimes the remaining family just has to let it go. My parents had been in the house for almost 40 years. Mom died first then dad died a few years later. No will. I thought they owned it but had a 2nd mortgage and owed more than what it was worth. I lived out of town. No intentions of moving back or wanting to own it. No family left in town. I had to let it foreclose. Since my dad died during Covid, laws were set to protect homeowners from foreclosure. He passed in Dec ’20. It was finally foreclosed in Nov ’22.

@KiekoTheDragon I’m aware of the Timelapse. The workers in the background were seen for about 30 seconds, doing nothing, so I equated that to about 29 minutes with the Timelapse thing, and math.
