진짜 이런 방송이 2020년에 공중파 방송으로 나온다는 것이 믿기지가 않는다.. 남들이 생각하는 미의 기준에 부응하며 살 필요도 없고, 다양한 체형과 미를 가지고 살아가는건데.. 뚱뚱한 얼굴을 포토샵으로 줄이는 모습이 장난스럽게 방송에 나오는게 너무 끔찍함.. 만약 백인과 같은 하얀 피부를 갖는게 더 예쁘다고 생각해서, 흑인이 포토샵으로 자신의 모든 피부를 하얗게 바꾸는게 방송에 나오면 어떨거 같음..? 모두가 지금 자신의 모습 그 자체로도 충분히 아름다운건데.. 한국 사회는 이런 다양한 체형을 바라보는 시각에서 한참 멀었다.. 이 방송을 볼 수많은 아이들이 어떻게 받아들일지... 표준 몸무게 이상인 아이들은 이 방송을 보며 자존감이 떨어질 것이고, 자신의 몸은 부끄러운 몸이라 생각하겠지. 표준 몸무게를 가진 사람 또한 연예인 수준의 마름이 아름다운 거라고 생각하며 자신을 옥죌 것이고, 자신의 얼굴을 더 말라보이게 고치려 하겠지.. +그리고 살 찐 사람한테 건강 운운하면서 살빼라는 소리도 사실 엄청 무례한 거라고 생각함.. 정말 가까운 지인이나 가족이 체중증가로 지병을 얻게된 상황이 아니고서야.. As a Korean myself, I find it sad that many Korean women think they’ll be prettier IF they lose weight. I wish that our culture can celebrate and accept women in all sizes. The Korean culture is all about one type of look. I don’t know.
Yeah Many people tend to divide people with their outer factors and even evaluate them. However, there are many perspectives about losing weight and we have to respect them.
ㅇㅈㅇㅈ not only Koreans but everyone should learn to accept themselves and others no matter how they look. People who are "chubby" always get judgements about their weight. (same for skinny/ underweighted people) But for Sunyoung it's kinda different, she had health problems due to her weight that's why people were telling her to lose weight, because they were worried not because she was ugly. Now she lost a lot of weight and is healthy. She might not have the "perfect" body our society wants but she looks absolutely gorgeous and the most important she is HEALTHY not like these models who would starve themselves and look like an actual stick.

I think people in general (no matter how chubby or slim you are) are getting judgmental comments about their appearance/body in Korea. Which means, even praising someone for being fit can be quite judgemental and can influence the listener(s). And also, I think you are making same kind of mistake when you are talking about models' body. I mean, I am very against the media that only shows skinnier-than-average women as acceptable bodies, but that doesn't mean it's okay to attack on slim/skinny individuals. Some people are just born to be like that.

Grape you can be skinny and be just as unhealthy as a fat person. You can be fat and be fitter and healthier than a skinny person. It goes both ways. Her weight has nothing to do with her beauty. She is a beautiful woman who deserves all the praise she gets. I think people in general (no matter how chubby or slim you are) are getting judgmental comments about their appearance/body in Korea. Which means, even praising someone for being fit can be quite judgemental and can influence the listener(s).
And also, I think you are making same kind of mistake when you are talking about models' body. I mean, I am very against the media that only shows skinnier-than-average women as acceptable bodies, but that doesn't mean it's okay to attack on slim/skinny individuals. Some people are just born to be like that.

Grape you can be skinny and be just as unhealthy as a fat person. You can be fat and be fitter and healthier than a skinny person. It goes both ways. Her weight has nothing to do with her beauty. She is a beautiful woman who deserves all the praise she gets. Yes unhealthy weight is not beautiful and it shouldn’t be romanticized but at the end of the day there are factors and issues that play into a persons weight gain and lack of weight loss.
