A couple things we want to add about the Buck 120:
Pros: 1) Super light and you can run around with it in hand like GhostFace without getting tired. 2) It features a fuller beveled (incorrectly known as a “Blood groove” which lightens the blades weight. 4) The knife features a clip-point blade along with a small guard. 5) It’s made for a hunting and nothing more
Cons: 1) In most states it’s a big no-no to carry so don’t even bother purchasing this without looking at laws. Luckily, we film from The Matrix. 2) It might be bigger than needed for some individuals and a Buck 119 might be a better alternative.
I mean, I plan on getting Spirit Halloween's Bowie knife since it looks like one but safe. Also plan on modifying it with some thin strips of electrical tape and maybe some spray paint so it looks more accurate.
They used the Buck 119 for the show.

Fun fact. Ghost face doesn’t wipe his blade just to clean it. It was done because the makers of scream were so tired of trying to keep the blood looking the same between shots so they decided after it got bloody he would wipe it that way it’s never a major continuity error

He's talking about the character doing that in the movie, not the stunt actor in real life. We don't know why the characters under the mask wipe the blade because they've never said, whether it be to actually prevent corrosion or to intimidate the victims, but it definitely cleans the blood off the blade, which is about all we can be certain of.

I’ve always wanted a movie where GhostFace had actual martial arts and tactical training, and maybe the killer(s) wouldn’t disclose their hand-to-hand combat knowledge to the protagonists so it would still be a surprise reveal

While not a movie in Dead by daylight ghost face is not anyone from the movies and dbd's ghost face is a trained killer he taunts the police at every moment and never gets caught I would listen/read the lore
@@treemoneygameing2212 he’s a much more intelligent GhostFace, probably the smartest, but he doesn’t have official tactical training other than the drills his former soldier father made him go through when he was a child. I read his lore, and other than what I just mentioned, I wouldn’t say he’s trained. Also, he’s still outside of the actual movies

He’s my favorite because of how reverent he is of his predecessors- he WORSHIPS classic killers and wants to emulate them
Danny's intelligence really comes in where his occupation is concerned. He's a journalist who reports on the murders he's committed meaning he was keeping food on his table during his spree.
Fun fact: Danny Johnson is asthmatic. When stunned he sounds like he's out of breath and an old addon that never made into the game is an inhaler of his.

I've always loved that blade wipe. It was originally thrown into the movie because getting the blood on the blade to be the same from shot to shot is damn near impossible, so the directors said screw that just wipe the blood off, now look at it, it's one of the most iconic slasher moves to hit the screen
It's really cool to see that they actually searched for a knife that would actually work for a serial killer like Ghostface and meet his needs while in action.

fun fact, the screen writers to scream noticed that in the older movies when ever the killer stabs somebody the knife is always clean in the next scene. So they had ghost face wipe his knife as a nod to that.

I've got a story. My grandfather used to work for Buck knives in Postfalls Idaho on the blade polishing line. He gave me this exact knife when I was like 12 years old as a reward for helping him load up a moving van when he moved to Kansas. I still have that knife to this day (I'm 28 now) and it's been an amazing tool to have.

I had a Buck 120 it's such a classic knife. The blade design was nice but I really didn't like the handle it was to smooth & barely had a grip on it. That's why I got rid of mine.
They got a pro version with grippy micarta handles, they do cost a pretty penny though

Does the ice pick grip always have the blade facing in towards you?
I’ve seen it many times and it always bothers me 😂
Some school differentiate between ice pick (blade out) and scythe grip (blade in).
I do it blade in because it becomes an extension of my hand; I can capture and cut, much like a praying mantis does.

Nope. In most cases the unorthodox grip is taught edge out, which is more about the design of the knife handle and the orientation of the blade. With the right kind of knife it's the most effective way to use it. You lose some of your measure but with a knife designed for it, you have far more power and ability to pull the blade towards you to make cuts. You can also do some really nasty and messy things that you can't do with an unorthodox grip where the blade faces outwards. Watch a butcher speed boning a side of meat some time and watch the way they use a knife. Pulling a blade through meat is more efficient.
If you aren't familiar with the P'kal or the clinch pick, they are two knives with a very specific design that makes them about as nasty as a knife gets.
I own the anniversary version of that knife. It's my favorite knife and i found it in its sheath in the middle of the road.

The reason he wipes the blade is so it doesn't go from bloody to unbloody like most horror movies at the time
The knife wiping originated in the first scream movie, where the actors decided to do that in order to fix inconsistencies with the knife scene to scene. However, editing still messed up and there are still some knife inconsistencies in the movie that you can see, I remember there's a few in Billy's fake death scene.
Theres so many horror movie rules to follow that its almost impossible.
Heres just to name some 👇🤓
1. Don't have sex.
2. Don't drink or do drugs.
3. Don't say *I'll be right back*
Extra rules.
1. Don't run into the woods. Youll get lost.
2. Don't run upstairs go out the front door.
3. Don't hide in the bathroom its the most likely place to get killed.
4. Have a security system and a backup generator in case the killer cuts the power you can watch for him and camp in the dark and be ready for him.
5. Be an expert martial artist.
6. Be well versed in guns. Also have a gun. Preferably on your person. Also aim for the head in case hes lased out on drugs or has a vest on.
7. Be an expert on house traps and set em up.
8. Don't go to parties, just avoid the movie altogether 😁
9. Always have a fully functional phone on hand in arms reach.
10. Have your escape route ready and your vehicle ready.
11. Lock and barricade your doors if youre not the first victim in the horror movie. If someones been murdered and the police dont find em then do this.
12. Don't investigate strange noises, 9/10 its just house noises or pets. If something really unsettles you see rule number 4.
13. Keep all weapons ready and teaps too.
14. Night vision equipment is useful as well. See rule 4, 5, 6 and 8.
15. CARDIO!
16. Keep calm!
17. Keep all possesions accounted for, if somethings not where its supposed to be or missing, wait til you see something on your home security once you do call the cops! See rule 4-6 & 8
18. Have medical supplies handy!

The blood wiping was a reference to the first movie, they had to change props but couldn’t get the blood right so they had him wipe it off to keep things lined up
