Thor: Love and Thunder will see the return of the self-styled “Strongest Avenger,” and it may also bring back Asgard’s version of the Avengers. In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) was shocked to find that Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), who had been one of Asgard’s elite female warriors, the Valkyries, was living on the planet Sakaar. The reason for his surprise was revealed later through Valkyrie’s flashback that showed how Thor’s sister, Hela (Cate Blanchett), the Goddess of Death, had killed all the other Valkyries. The associated survivor's guilt and trauma subsequently caused her to drink heavily and be reluctant to fight alongside Thor against Hela on Asgard.
Ultimately, Valkyrie joined the fight and helped rescue the people of Asgard before it was destroyed by Surtur. The events of Avengers: Infinity War then saw the tables turned for Thor and Valkyrie. Thor’s guilt at failing to save half the universe from Thanos caused him to retreat into excessive drinking and eating as he hid away in New Asgard. While this was happening, Valkyrie took charge, and following Thor’s redemption and the ultimate defeat of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, Thor made the wise decision to follow his own path and leave Valkyrie as the King of New Asgard.

iIt be.a damn sight better than this train wreck. Remember when Marvel was can't miss. this drops 68% in the 2nd week. Pratt is ini it for for only 2 minutes and Valkyrie is in it only because she is banging Taika Watiti ... this series is awful now. Miss phases 1-3.

@@AbsoluteAbsurd there was a 4 hour cut that got cut down to the 2 hour movie it is now, thus many clips of unused movie content. reviewers have also said the trailers give literally no info on the plot

I could see Jane, Valkyrie, and Thor fighting Gor. Jane sacrifices mjolnir so that it’s thunder can go to Thor. Thor by then already knows of her cancer. As well as Valkyrie. Valkyrie and Thor are angry and saddened, Valkyrie angers and continues to fight Gor. Thor cries while the thunder comes to him, Gor sees that Thor and Valkyrie are different but dies

I have not read many comics and have not seen her before onscreen so I hope this is good, otherwise I have lost most of my hope with Marvel (I still need to see Spider Verse 1 and when 2 comes out)

They are all trailers showing the same images just in different order with a few new talking scenes. Like seriously we see very little new stuff compared to the first trailer.

It definitely isn’t. We can’t expect them to keep every aspect of the comics.
@@dakingbey Well again though, the only way they could bring Knull in is by having his iconic weapon which is the All Black The Necrosword because the dude obviously isn't a weak villain, but his key strength came from that sword and just the All Black symbiote itself. Otherwise he wouldn't be on the level to slaughter celestials, which we've been seeing celestials now once in a moon
According to the premiere (SPOILER) Knull and symbiotes have no context for All Black here. For now before any future retconning. Kinda makes sense as symbiotes just entered MCU through Venom and leaving behind a drop of alien goo in the NWH end credits.

I've been mostly disappointed by the recent movies. The latest spiderman was awesome but doctor strange and the multiverse of madness was a big letdown for me. It felt very rushed and unfinished, the movie wanted to much. Oh I do miss the good ol days of the iron man movies! Mind you, I will be watching this movie In theater or illegally.
