I love Sunmi's consistent use of the misunderstood woman theme. From the "left behind" woman of Gashina, Catwoman in Tail, to the call of the Siren, she continues to play on this theme in new and interesting ways. Now we have a sympathetic Black Widow. This is why I love her. Sunmi isn't just an idol, she's an artist.

This is a consistent theme in all of her singles and I absolutely adore her for that.

I don't understand why this great MV doesn't have an album for her music career. The music style is extremely high quality and especially the image is invested and attracted. No one can forget her hair and the way she performs and is so gorgeous with her pose.

I may be mistaken, because apparently Sunmi's songs are supposed to reflect misunderstood women, but I connected this song to the greek myth of Eos, the goddess of dawn. Cursed by Aphrodite to never stop falling in love, she kept on falling in love with mortal men, who passed away and left her behind. Sunmi's hair is dyed the color of saffron, which is associated as a symbol of Eos(the color of the rising sun, dawn). Additionally, the lyrics consistently emphasize "burning sun", heat, and night; and "one more time before the burning night in the sleeping city cools off". According to myth, Eos' duty was to bring the dawn, and once her brother Helios, the god of sun, took over, Eos relaxed and spent her free time through the night until the next daybreak. Noir = black and white - not a colourful life - no life, no love, no joy - miserable/empty. Always feel alone and blind due to being in darkness, so, no light to see where they are going.
The ones who walk at night will stumble and do not know at what they stumble cause they have no light. Also, no empathy, thus cannot connect with people.
Let the blind lead the blind - they will all fall into the pit - the ones who are in darkness do not know where they are going.
