JennaMuffin he doesn't, that's the problem. lol Don't get me wrong I think he's great, and I can't wait to see him in concert in a few weeks, but his technique isn't the best. You can tell he's struggling, and I feel his pain cause I'm currently going to school for music, and I know how hard it is to control your breath, especially when singing high notes. I do hope he gets a good voice teacher soon, because as much as I love the rawness of his voice right now, he could really hurt his vocal cords singing like that, and it would be tragic if he lost his voice!

I am surely no expert on breathing techniques for singing, but I am working in the other field which is needed for a concert and I can hear him breath pretty often ^^" as you said I don't people to get me wrong, because I know how hard the work for both sides is. However the mic clearly let us hear every breath he takes, loud and clear. He takes many breaths while he sings the high notes, just mostly smaller ones, which you can't hear as clearly as his deep breaths.
CantoneseAnimes you're right, I didn't phrase my comment correctly. I didn't mean to say that he literally doesn't breathe, lol just that he's not breathing correctly, which is causing him to struggle.
