That prisoner liking Huey because he's educated, and then Huey showing them how to riot and those two talking about how things won't change for them was strangely profound, and sad.
@@Rumple999 Bro the entire premise of the Boondocks is to satirize and comment on black culture and the problems that the black community faces. The show is meant to be looked into deeply.
I always mathematically give Huey 3 opponents and Riley 2 because while we expect Huey to be able to fight more than one opponent at once, the fact Riley can take on 2 is still pretty cool. (Even though when you regularly fight Huey 1v1 you’re bound to be able to give and take a lick or 2🤷🏾♂️I still love how Huey bonked him on his head with a skillet🍳😂😂)
Tom's a badass. Despite his overwhelming fear of being raped he not only goes back to save the hostages, he even goes back again to rescue huel and riley while also beating the bootwarrior in combat.

Honestly, this is such a deep and really good character-establishing episode if you think about it. Huey sticking to diplomacy and attempting to end the riot in a way that benefits the prisoners while ensuring everyone's safety, suggests making change towards a better civilization, and keeping his cool through all the votes and discussions on "bitches" Riley exuding self-confidence and outsmarting the scare tactics of the scared straight program Tom going from a veil of fake growth to actually facing his fears and becoming a hero to save all the kids, owning up to his mistake that his fear caused. The prisoner's melancholy of that he wishes he was smart enough to have not ended up in prison, but acceptance that raping some booty is the only pleasure left in life.
Speaking as a man, Imma go ahead and declare "Not wanting to be anally gang raped in prison" is less of a phobia and more an absolutely sincere, legit concern.
I think the saddest part is the final realization of the prisoner. Knowing that a black president actually came to be. And him realizing that it could’ve been him had his life just turned out differently.
Honestly, what Changed for the Better with Obama? Taxes? Crime? Poverty? Jobs? War? Civil rights? Nothing changed but the skin tone of the asshole puppet for the bankers.
