- WBC Featherweight World Champion Gary Russell Jr. and unbeaten mandatory challenger Tugstsogt “King Tug” Nyambayar went face-to-face at a final press conference Thursday before they headline action live on SHOWTIME on Saturday, February 8.
The press conference also featured former champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Liborio Solis, who battle in the co-main event for the vacant WBA Lightweight Title, plus Jaime Arboleda and Jayson Velez, who compete in a 12-round WBA Super Featherweight Title eliminator to open the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING card at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Russell needs to be careful when closing that distance, given the 4 inch height advantage for King Tug. I expect Russell to land early and often, but the question is whether he can keep Tug from walking him down as the fight continues.
This should be very interesting. If Russell doesn’t tame King Tug with his speed in the first half of the fight, Nyambayar can walk him down, and catch him with a long right hand or an uppercut.

If I hear Devin Haney and father / manager saying publicly that they want to fight Lomachenko (repeatedly), and I see Loma avoiding / dismissing Haney when they mention him, and changing weight classes when it seems like it's coming down to him and Devin, then it is what it is.
There's no need to "tell myself a story". How about you saying his shoulder beat him when he won all rounds in his last fight, WITH the shoulder injury ? Then when I mention that, you try to downplay his opponent. How about instead you support your original statement that "his shoulder beat him" ?

And I'd be suprised you know any verifiable info, about who Haney's "entourage" will let him fight. All we know is that his TEAM said they want the fight with Loma, and Loma's team hasn't - and he changed weight classes when he could've fought him.
