It's so underrated! Way better than other popular docuseries!!! I'd planned to "listen" to it in the background while doing other stuff, but ended up dropping everything and binge watching it biting my nails. I haven't felt so agitated since Dear Zachary.
To think that not only was he put in jail for something he didn’t do,
He was put in jail as a pedophile.

After watching him speak on his freedom..this is shocking.
Just watched Part 2 (most of it).
In Part 1, the judge told the jury the verdict had to be unanimous and if not, they would be sequestered.
The last vote was 11-guilty, 1-innocent. From where did they choose this lousy jury? They only wanted to do jury duty if they slept in their own beds! I'd like to see an interview with several of the jury members post conviction.
I'd like to think I would've stuck to my guns if I were that one person that voted NOT GUILTY at the end... Be tough to do.

This happens every day! Prosecutors have no morals and bear no responsibility for their clearly unethical behaviors.
Either they are soulless bastards or they all sit around and convince themselves of the guilt of everyone they encounter. I am inclined to believe the former.
There is no way to know how many innocents are sitting in jail right now, but I am sure the number is staggering!
So I’ve just watched the entire series. They mention there were “dark forces” in Greg’s case. Those “dark forces” were Shama McCarty. She manipulated Greg as a scapegoat for her son Jonathons crimes from the very beginning. She was pushing for Greg to move in with her family when his parents got ill, it was mentioned her sons were convicted of sex related crimes before this timeframe in question, it was mentioned that Greg & Johnathon look identical & she never defended Greg at all during his trial. I want to know how much power & influence she had over the police investigation & court process?? I think this cover up goes a lot deeper then the documentary mentions & a young mans life, reputation & innocence have been destroyed because of it 👿😢

I know many people involved in this story personally first of all shama is a great lady I know her well but knew nothing of this story so knowing her son is the actual pedophile has to be hard on her. The assistant DA Sunday Austin is dirty I fired her as my attorney at one time and without going into detail the corruption in this county is visible in this show from his own attorney to the cedar park police to the DA's office. I will say this Donna King was my judge in a case but she was absent for sentencing so I had a sitting judge and was pretty much railroaded by my own attorney and the DA as well. After watching this I wish I would have had this new DA and Donna King seems pretty fair as a judge but that doesn't change the fact that there are numerous people from this county who are sitting in jail due to the corruption there. There's a saying "come to wilco on vacation leave on probation" for a reason

Who was the third suspect???
It was Greg Kelly in the 2014 case. He served 3 months in jail then got released in August of 2017. This is something that shouldn’t have happened cause he was so innocent. One day he was working out and his attorney called him and said Jonathan McCarty got arrested for rape. But he only got arrested for 4 years. Greg got arrested for 25 years and he didn’t do it. That literally makes no fucking sense whatsoever. And Greg Kelly finally got exonerated November 6th 2019. He’s now going to the university of Texas in hopes to get back to the nfl. Jonathan McCarty got released already which makes no sense.
