@Sound Wavy You'll be making excuses all year. Only chance this team has is with the lineup Vogel put out last night, except with either Nunn, or Monk starting at the 2 - you get good enough spacing from Nunn/Monk, LeBron, and Melo, and AD at the 5 can stretch the floor also. The problem is that Russ has to have the ball otherwise you lose spacing dramatically - he's that bad of a shooter and doesn't do much off the ball. Anyway the thing to watch out for on the Lakers isn't even their offense, they're primarily a great defensive team - as long as that stays the same they'll be competitive. Offensively they can't compete with Brooklyn anyway, and the way the Warriors are looking when they add Klay they'll be a top 5 offense again.

Well, the NBA is also entertainment. So, creating all this drama is actually good for the game. People like a messy, but talented team try to get it together. The Duncan Spurs teams had the opposite problem. They played great winning basketball, but people thought of them as boring, despite that they played beautiful basketball. I am happy that they showed the world the pinnacle of team basketball in 2014 - sheesh - the passing and shooting was amazing.
