According to FOX Bet, Brady is projected to throw 29 and a half touchdowns in 2020 which is a slight increase from his 24 last season. As a pats and Brady fan I’ve been all my life even I knew he’s not gonna be the same in the future. BUT what amazes me is he’s still consistent. The numbers may not be but his mindset & work ethic & love for the game speaks for itself man
the big question is why where his numbers going down ? Many people make his receving core responsible, and that is surely a part of it, but I think there is a bigger reason nobody talks about : his relationship to BB. We know he almost walked out of training camp prior to the season, we know he had a contract that allowed him to split on his terms, we know his relationship to BB was bad towards the end. Saying Tom Brady hasn’t declined is an insult to the greatness that Tom was. He was a back of the middle of the pack qb last year and until last year he was either the best or among the best 3.
The last thing to go is the arm generally provided no injuries. What changes is the ability to recover from hits each game and the speed at which they can see the throwing windows. Maybe a little loss in "zip" but who knows. He could be ok at the moment, we'll have to wait and see.

Skip always goes back to that last game against the Dolphins, where Ryan Fitzpatrick drove the length of the field to win the game and cost the Patriots a 1st-round bye. However, there was once a time where a prime Tom Brady wouldn't have allowed it to get to that point. Against a non-playoff team like the Dolphins, Tom Brady in his prime would have found a way to put the game so far out of reach that Miami wouldn't have even had a chance to win the game on their final possession. Especially since the game was in Foxborough. The fact that Tom Brady didn't come out and put the Dolphins away in the 1st-half, at home with a 1st-round bye at stake, shows that Tom Brady isn't what he used to be. He let Ryan Fitzpatrick outplay him in that game, and the Tom Brady from years ago wouldn't have allowed that to happen.

What's funny about Tom is that his stats over the past couple of years have echoed his stats from around 2001-2006 - you know, when he won three Super Bowls and was a consensus great quarterback in the eyes of many people. It's only because his stats have declined from his mid-career era that people think he's not playing well. But 24 touchdowns, only 8 picks, and over 4000 yards is hardly a bad year by any stretch of the imagination. Not incredible, but nowhere near bad. Brady still has what it takes to be a good QB in this league.

Tom Brady threw a pick 6 to end his season last year. He honestly threw a pick 6 to end his season the year before if it wasn't for a pre-snap penalty (I know it doesnt count but he still threw it right to the defender regardless) Idk why that doesn't get brought up more. I dont think hes a scrub, but I don't think he is elite at this moment in time. I'm interested in seeing what he does with the Bucs though i like that squad.
