What the NFL needs is several battle ships to play on. Get a few massive ships to dock on the side of Florida or California.

It might be possible if they threw out the season schedule and treated it like a European football (soccer) tournament, with divisions brought to separate locations, isolated, playing each other as groups, then winners moving on to the next round. From then on it's sudden death. This year is a special circumstance. If they insist on trying to make the 17-week schedule work it will fall apart before they make it to week four.

They could call the bubble each teams training sight, they could get a 6 month lease on a hotel close to the sight for the visiting teams. You reserve a portion of the training sight or lease a gym for 6 months for the visiting team. They could use the training sights field if it is adequate or a local collages field for the game, the large stadium with it's staff in a congested area is an unneeded risk without fans.

well, it can be done and they know it but they have to pretend like it is difficult for drama purposes. It will get done. Not that difficult when so much money is at stake. There are 32 teams with 31 stadiums. I am sure they can have 4 team go to one stadium so that all 32 teams get split evenly among 8 stadiums. Have those 4 teams play each other for 4 weeks in that stadium (some team has a bye in that stadium so we extend it to 4 weeks), saturday and sunday, thursday and monday. So then after the month, make new groups of 4 teams to face one another in 8 new stadiums that have not been played in so that there are minimal contamination. Repeat that process until the season ends. Less travel since you only travel once a month, and at some point the players will be in their home town playing for a month. Something like this is feasible and would minimize the risk.

I think a good solution would be to bubble each team in their perspective cities, with all their training staff and non player personnel and have the services the nba bubble offers like a team barber stay with them, a team chef and cook staff, and recreation's like golf if possible in their city, even like a team transportation staff that way they can transport everything to games in an isolated manner. In terms of family I would also add maybe like visitation rooms where guest can stay over for the 14 days quarantined and then spend whatever time they want with the players, there would be multiple rooms functioning like that. Idk just an idea

The NFL Should just make this season the NFL CUP. If a team lose, they are out and done. The winner advance until there are two teams left to the NFL SUPER BOWL CUP Final.
Starting 32 teams = 16 games
then - 16 teams = 8 games
8 teams = 4 games
4 teams = 2 games
Super Bowl CUP = 1 game 1 winner .
Overall the season is cut to 31 games but there will be played some football instead of none. And it could actually work in condensed facilities.

The entire league and families should move out here to New Zealand next week. Two weeks isolation then stay for six months and play...... we had 20 odd days with no cases and only a few incoming ones... we are so far away so I guess we gotta have something going for us..

If they somehow figured out the logistics, the way they could make the games work is they have 2 games per day Mon - Fri. and 8 total games on the week-ends. That covers 36 teams. Since there aren't that many in the league, you can decide on which day you will play less games.

You could potentially do it in an Olympic village of sorts. They have the capacity to hold everyone. As far as where to play, contained buses that takes them to stadiums. But only in a city which has multiple stadiums such as Mexico City, London, or Madrid. London could be the place tbh. Olympics were held there in 2012 and they have multiple stadiums.

TBH, the only responsible way to do this is to cancel this season. It's harsh, but that's the only responsible way to players and coaches and the fans. Shannon's right, there's no practical way to do this in a "bubble".

Maybe, divisional games only (playing each team twice like usual), then divisional winners play others and playoffs as usual. Plus with no fans there really is no home field advantage so one stadium inside each division needs to be picked to play the games. No pre season cuts to keep expended rosters for easy replacements. Start the season later with reduced games and allowed more time for protocols to be developed. Have what Unc said once your in , “your in”, you travel with the team at all times. You stay inside pre determine facilities at all times and if you leave you are out. It would suck for those with bigger family’s especially ones with younger kids but that’s the choice that needs to be asked to each player. As far as the playoffs I would decide 2 stadiums and facilities that work the best for keeping players and staff safe (AFC , NFC)Then the Super Bowl can be up to determination based on the state of our country by the start of the playoffs. But this should be an open discussion for player representatives as well as executives at NFL because of course the risk to health even greater with the threat of a virus. An opt out option in contracts for this year for all players. I believe some of the well off players still early in their careers will “opt out” especially with a family at home that needs them, but a few stars may emerge from this given a chance to play when normally they would have been cut early for uncontrollable reasons. This would also be good chance with no fans to trial and error new camera angels, audio positions , equipment options, referee numbers and positions , etc... just a few of my thoughts.

I feel like the problem is that we opened too soon. Looking at New Zealand who's reached 0 cases and allowed fans back to rugby matches which had two sellout games this past weekend. And Australia who's slowly allowing the NRL and their clubs to leave their bubble in two weeks to normal stadiums and allowing up 10000 in crowds. I just feel like we opened the jar too early and its starting to bite us, we got to have manditory masks and to protect kids and the elderly. We rushed through our phases.
