@Ryan Irwin- Diehl I think Zeke needs to be a red zone back until the late 3rd and in the 4th quarter. We need another back. A bruiser that is good for 3 yds every set of downs until in the red zone and late in the game.
Zeke had 300+ attempts guys. Henry had 300+ and 1500+ yards. Nick Chubb had 298 attempts and 1400+ yards. McCaffrey had 287 attempts and 1300+ yards. So not past prime but the attempts are wearing him down.
@@localppc242 1st, you can't compare anybody to Henry. That dude is massive. But I think McCaff and Henry have rolled out slow and now they are picking up on the amount of truck load they carry. Zeke been a workhorse going on 5 years now. Last year Zeke got the yards....But I noticed him getting up slower, shaking his head more after tackles like he's shaking off the sting. Now you can have Zeke for 2 more years or extend him for another 4 years maybe.
Zeke is a rhythm type of back. You have to feed him but include him in the offense for him to pound the rock . Once he’s motivated he’s a problem.

2016: 5.1 y/rush, 2017 (hurt): 4.1 y/rush, 2018: 4.7 y/rush, 2019: 4.5 y/rush. 3 of his first 4 years with 300 rushing attempts. I'm just saying....RB's don't last forever. Especially @ 230lbs.

I look at it different. I think Zeke is trending down in his prime but I think he is still a top 3 RB. Just cuz your past your prime or slowing down doesn’t mean your bad. Some people in their prime r just incredible. Zeke is no where near as fast as he was his first two years. He’s not nearly in as good of shape. Still elite compared to everyone else but compared to where he was his first 2 years he isn’t the same player.
I know this about Zeke but it’s amazing Adrian Peterson is still able to go get you a 1000 yards in a season dude been in the league for 13 years a lot of backs don’t even last half that long he is a once a generation athlete mad respect for him!

They had gurley and Lindsay above CMC, and not to mention put Lamar at #1 and had Chubb, zeke, Barkley, or Henry no where on the list. The list they made was a total joke, only based on the mph of the player rather than actual overall stats.

Adam McLain I mean saquon has everything you need in a rb. his only weakness is trying to make something out of nothing instead of just taking the L but it works out for him sometimes. I understand it’s one year but I definitely think he’s the most explosive rb but at least better than Chris carson

Zeke hasnt lost anything its that the offense is pass happy. And Zeke doesnt get going til 2nd qtr. Plus he got paid so he isnt worried about stats.
Zeke had 301 rushing attempts. Henry led the NFL with 303 rushing attempts...... The difference is that Henry had a couple more hundred rushing yards and more rushing TDs. Zeke has a ton of touches in the "pass happy" offense and is right up there with McCaffrey's touches. What do you expect? 350 rush attempts.

You would think this is a commandment, by now, of NFL offense building: Acquire a talented quarterback and develop him. Make sure he is protected. Get receivers who fit your quarterback's strengths.

Dallas had a qb throw for 5k yards last year so he’s not gonna get the touches he normally gets but he still was 4th in the league and had 14 tds which was more tds than last year. He’s still a stud

EE had one of the best O-Lines in football the first couple of years. He was running thru the first and second levels untouched. Now the O-Line is decent and the holes are not wide open as they once were we are seeing the truth. I don't think he is past prime but now he has to evolve and the question is can he level up.
I give "top" RBs a 5-year shelf life. Meaning outside of their typical rookie contracts of 4 years, there is typically a steep decline by year 5 and it never gets better. Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley. Both guys faded heavily in their fifth year and for good reason. You have these players rushing the ball nearly 300 times a season, not to mention the number of times they have to block plus catch the ball. They're driven into the ground early and very few actually last. You have to be something special to be consistently good at RB in the NFL and that is why I'd never over pay a RB.
Frank Gore is a rare case, He's the definition of a workhorse and has been a personal favourite of mine since I got into football. Adrian Peterson as well.
