Not a nuke. A nuclear explosion has a white flash light of radiation initially; it’s the signature characteristics of a nuke explosion. This one doesn’t have the white flash. It’s all smoke and shockwaves.

Survived the beirut blast since I was about 2 kilometers away, working just like any normal day, but the shock and the pain doesn’t go away. Indescribable experience, my coworkers and I got out with minor injuries, but we saw it in each other’s eyes that we were eternally traumatized. The worst part is having to live with the fact that tomorrow is never promised. RIP Lebanon.

I am a chemist and a couple years back a - relatively - very small ammonium nitrate explosion happened in my lab and I woke up in the hospital 10 days later...I remember how I felt like the biggest motherf*cker because I survived an explosion...seeing this just breaks my heart. Guess I was wrong.

I’m originally from Lebanon, but am very grateful to be living a happy and prosperous life in England. Shocking thing is, this blast was only 1/20th of the magnitude of what was dropped on Hiroshima. Just to put that into perspective. Then to take it a step further, the tsar bomb is 1570 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb. Horrendous.
I hope they are ok now, and I hope this wont happen anymore. We have to feel lucky guys, Pray that this wont happen again.
