I said it a few months ago. Xabi will fullfill his contract at leverkusen and then will take over Real Madrid. Liverpool and bayern are out of the race for me. His wife and kids like the school they go to in germany right now and from a city perspective Munich and Madrid was what his family liked the best. I doubt he would move straight to a rival in the same league which would be Bayern Munich. Liverpool would be a great oppportunity, but like I said his family prefers Munich or Madrid for a living. I think he will go to Bayern one day, but not straight away and maybe he will go to Liverpool also one day just not yet.

This is a real unpopular opinion but I think Tuchel wouldn’t be a bad fit. He’s free at the end of the season and he has a similar demand on his players as Klopp I just don’t think he has the ‘father figure’ type personality but he uses the same style.

If Liverpool really want Alonso then Michael Edwards will work his magic in the negotiations. It's quite pathetic actually that so many have believed the Bayern statement as fact and actually not looked at what Leverkusen or Alonso in particular have said. Alonso has said absolutely NOTHING about his future. He hasn't said he's staying at the club which people seem to forget. I'm still confident Liverpool will get him at the end of the season when Leverkuson have played all their games and there's nothing stopping Alonso or the club making an official statement together.
Bayern Munich are just trying to play games and when it comes down to it their tricks will end in failure.
Liverpool have a better team than Bayern, better European record and more potential.
