I love Taemin’s dancing but his quieter songs are so underrated. another beautiful performance. Act 2 is such an incredible album - he's further cemented his legacy as a soloist with it, and in such a personal way too. he's shown his heart to us through these songs.

I'm in a internal struggle between "Be Your Enemy" and "If I Could Tell You", because Wendy's and Taeyeon's voices suits perfectly with Taemin's. I enjoy both ^^

Lee Taemin. I first want to talk about your musicality. Just hearing the delicacy and gentleness of your voice layered on top of such diverse instrumentals creates such a dynamic sensation. You are able to communicate what you couldn’t with just mere words. Every emotion that you’ve felt or were eager to share you’ve done breathtakingly so within the sincerity of your voice. Something extraordinary happens when you let your voice just surrender to the music, and you are able to sing at an unmatchable intensity. It is obvious you have studied and learned about the lure of dance for most of your life, but actually watching you share your knowledge with your audience is an entire different kind of affiliation to its possibilities. Your body becomes the subject of your feelings and your music. Each individual component has its own significance, but cohesively, your choreographies unleash a truth. You have mastered and reinvented the ways dance can be learned, assimilated into a culture, and spread for others to enjoy alongside you. Overall, it is understatement to say that you are one of the greatest and moving artists of our generation. Not only have you set the tone of K-Pop music, but you have left your imprint on different musical styles across the world. Simply put, you are art. You encourage and lead those who will follow you to become their own musicians. You always keep a smile on your face and put others before you if it means giving them your own happiness. I know that all of your members could speak only the highest of you with just a few words. You left an impression on each of your members the moment you became a part of Shinee, and it seemed that the five of you became the closest of friends overnight. The way you were able to look at your other members in SuperM and see how each of them shine individually in their pre-existing groups suggests your ability to see the talent and worth in people. They look at you and see that if you can make it through what you have, they can do anything. You lead them all and teach them with every step that you take, no matter what it is. As aforementioned, you put all of your members first before anything in your own life and you love them in such a way that they could not feel otherwise. You have helped raise each and every one of them in their own respective rights. All I know, is that what we have seen you get through has displayed you as one of the strongest people we’ve ever come to know. It takes perseverance and trust in a better life like nothing else to recover from what you have. There is no greater test of power, determination, and tranquility than the situations you’ve been trapped in, and you’ve turned most, if not all of them into a reason to live life to the fullest. You never stop becoming a better person, and I know that is a result of what you’ve endured. I definitely came to appreciate Taemin for his dancing and performing skills, but he also has a beautiful voice and when I get to watch him sing it, his presence - facial expressions, body language, intensity - really enhances the experience. I know Taemin always gets praise as a dancer but he is such a gifted vocalist and a testament to hard work. *Be Your Enemy is a one Iof my favorite songs in act2.The song is about genuinely being there for someone who is hurting. When Taemin sings “I’ll be your enemy.” is him allowing the person he is singing to - to throw all their anger and frustrations on him. Because it’s better to release all that anger than to keep it inside and suffer.He accepts this person no matter what. The message of this song is extraordinary and adding Wendy is definitely a perfect choice . Her angelic voice matches perfectly with Taemin’s, and they were both able to carry the emotion in the song.
