From familiar-looking planets, to fresh teases of the Emperor, brand new Resistance heroes, ships from the animated series, and a C-3PO line to make water spring liberally from your eyes, the trailer is stacked with the old, the new, and everything in between.
There's a lot going on that has fans super excited: the huge battle between the Resistance and First Order ships, C-3PO saying goodbye to his friends, the developing story between Rey and Kylo Ren, and the voiceovers from Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
But what seems to really have people excited is the return to an iconic location: Emperor Palpatine's throne room on the second Death Star from Return of the Jedi.
Basically, that JJ Abrams is at it again repackaging people's nostalgia just like he did with The Force Awakens, and once again it seems to be working a treat with fans.
We are more interested about that other throne in the movie. The one on the icy planet with all the weird jagged rocks sticking out of it, could it be Palpatine's throne?

Every Star Wars movie is eye candy. If you choose to ignore or dislike the story in the new trilogy that’s on you, but it’s still there, and you don’t have any right to tell anyone else what they should and shouldn’t enjoy.

Yeah, I think Rogue One is my favorite out of all the Disney films.
Disney didn't even care much for it, which is why they barely had a hand in making it, unlike Kathleen's insistence on changing a lot of key aspects in the main titles.
They were only interested in the spin offs *after* Rogue One made big money at the box office and then they decided to cheese the Star Wars Story crap with the Solo entry.
Which btw, wasn't as bad as everyone said it was, it had its moments and I think it's alright.
Not great but... ok.
I'd watch it a second time.
I grant my thanks to Gareth Edwards for Rogue One however.

"You were the chosen one!" That line broke my heart when I first watched it. And it just shows how much Obi wan cared for Anakin. I'm gonna miss this saga.
That scene where Anakin gets burned and the line that breaks our hearts is played with that music breaks my heart.

I like how this edit showcased the memorable characters, sweeping romance, well-choreographed action, legendary motifs, boundless passion, and technological advancement each of the Lucas Star Wars movies became famous for. And how the Disney abominations have exactly none of that.
