Goodbye Batfleck, hello Battinson. Robert Pattinson has been officially announced as the new Batman. DCβs #TheBatman movie cruises towards a 2021 release date.

It is kind of strange to think that for so long the Matt Reeves The Batman project was kept under the tightest of wraps. But now, ever since the news of Robert Pattinson being cast as the Dark Knight, it seems like everyday garners another insight into what we can expect from the upcoming stand alone trilogy. We learned recently that there will be 6 villains for the Caped Crusader to content with, but now we may not only know the basic plot, but the existence of a possible 7th villain as well.
he films, which are meant to focus more on Batmanβs detective skills, will be loosely based around the 13 comic arc called βThe Long Halloweenβ. So, while villains like Penguin, Catwoman, and Riddler will play big parts, they wonβt be the final, main antagonist.
Rumors also push that this serial killer mastermind may be Hush, which would meld two different, yet equally amazing, storylines. These stories can mesh well, so this shouldnβt be an issue. Itβs seems a bit crazy, though, for there to be over half a dozen villains vying for screen time, even in a trilogy. It will be very interesting to see not only how the story is constructed, but also how this trilogy is shot. Could Reeves be really ambitious and shoot all three at the same time? If these villains appear in multiple movies, that may actually be the most logical and cost effective way.
This is all just rumors for now, but hopefully we will get some concrete information soon enough.
This Batman movie will swoop into theaters on June 25, 2021. Thatβs going to be a busy summer for DC, with James Gunnβs The Suicide Squad 2 releasing on August 6.

Much like how Matthew McConaughey spent years on the RomCom circuit and decided he wanted to take on more serious roles, Pattinson is on fire of late with his recent filmography. The man can act, and much like how Chris Evans was ropey and had undefined musculature before his tenure as Captain America, I can easily see Robert building some solid muscle mass to support a more detective-esque batman.

Humayun Kabir perfect for Batman. Rich man vibes, playboy vibes, Bruce Wayne is an alcoholic, playboy rich orphan, I think Robert Pattinson perfectly fits that role. Not to mention to match with that Joker from Joaquin Phoenix, and also sensing from Gotham tv series DC has been trying to make the villains look more deep and meaningful and bring the mafia and Gotham cityβs understory into the limelight as well. Just like comics. In contrast to Marvel, DC wants to go more adult oriented and R rated because Batman fans are now grown ups to see meaningful stories.

The Dark Knight Trilogy was the best live action Batman series, hands down.
And heath ledgers joker will always be the mark people will have to try to beat to be the best joker against Christian bale's Bruce Wayne made the series alot better as well but the entire casting was a stroke of brilliance

The reason he looks so much like Edward Cullen in this trailer is because Metropolis was filmed at the height of The Twilight Phenomenon. The Metropolis clips were used in the making of this concept. I think he's got the edginess to do Batman. Plus he's aged a bit more. He's no longer a Stephanie Meyer character. Check out some of his other work. He may surprise you.
