Scientist Reed Richards (John Krasinski) persuades his arrogant former classmate, Victor von Doom (Matthew McConaughey), to fund his experiments with cosmic energy. On von Doom's space station, the crew -- including astronaut Ben Grimm (David Harbour), researcher Sue Storm (Emily Blunt) and pilot Johnny Storm (Ansel Elgort) -- are exposed to a mysterious cosmic storm that bestows super powers upon them. As they cope with their transformations, von Doom vows his revenge.

As we know, Avengers 4 will likely require some tricky inter-dimensional manipulation and time travel to undo Thanos' big snap that killed half the universe. As we also know, back in the real world, Disney and 21st Century Fox are completing a merger, which gives the Marvel Cinematic Universe access to properties that were formerly owned by a separate company, such as X-Men and Fantastic 4. And, as Disney CEO Bob Iger said earlier this year, the company plans to “expand iconic movie franchises like Avatar, Marvel’s X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Planet of the Apes, Kingsman, and many others.”
So, the gears are all in motion for this great meeting of the Marvel characters to happen as soon as Avengers 4. One interesting fan theory on Reddit explains how the reversal of Thanos' snap could cause the introduction of both The Fantastic 4 and Mutants. If the snap can bring Captain Marvel back to Earth to help, certainly it could bring the Fantastic 4 back as well.
After months of speculation, Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that Marvel properties formerly cinematically licensed to Fox, including the X-Men and Fantastic Four, will be directly overseen by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. The confirmation solidifies fan hopes that Marvel's Merry Mutants and First Family will one day fight alongside the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, but now the big question remains: When will eagerly anticipated integration of the properties into the Marvel Cinematic Universe take place?
Last year's Spider-Man: Homecoming was a relatively sudden addition after Disney and Sony agreed to a last-minute deal in 2015 to share the cinematic rights to Spider-Man and include the character in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. This year's Ant-Man and The Wasp was moved up to take Captain Marvel's planned release date after the latter film ran into delays securing a director. Adding a wrinkle to this situation is the fact that Marvel is still scrambling to replaced filmmaker James Gunn to helm Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 after Gunn's firing by Disney this past July, making its initial planned release date for 2020 increasingly unlikely.
With Marvel already readying films for principal photography for its 2020 releases, the earliest full films starring the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters could be anticipated is 2021. Feige claimed as recently as July that the studio currently had no plans for either property. Of course, this doesn't discount the possibility that last-minute cameos or supporting roles could take place, like Peter Parker and Aunt May's inclusion in Civil War. But there is another consideration making these late additions doubtful.

I love the idea of the Fantastic 4 colliding with the MCU but it isn't possible unless Sony (Owner of MCU) and Fox (Owner of Fantastic 4) buy each other out or work together which is improbable
Looks good but they've rebooted them so many times...maybe they should just throw them into the story without explaination and start doing origin movies much later.

I like concept of the cast you pieced together, I like the imagery you chose to set the grittier more Amazon's Tom Clancy with Netflix Defender's vibe. Good thumbnail too. I'm just not keen on some of the rest of the footage put in the trailer since its obviously show X or movie Y and it breaks my suspension of disbelief. That said good concept.

I wonder if Marvel Studios will skip the creation of the Fantastic Four like what they did with Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. I am actually kinda tired watching the same thing again and again in different movies. It would be cooler if the Fantastic Four just appeared out of nowhere like the MCU's Spider-Man.

I'd like to see Franklin and Valyrie in the MCU, so it would be cool to let the origin out like they did with Hulk and Spider-Man and to show them as a superhero family.

The reason for all of it is rights. Fox had rights on marvel with characters and so did sony. Thats why venom didnt happen how his character came to be in the comics. Also why there wasnt a spiderman tie-in. Venom still doesnt belong to marvel as part of the cinematic universe. Fantastic four, silver surfer, adam warlock, are essential characters to be apart of the series. But Marvel also has a full deck of cards and can rewrite the story. Only people who will know is people who read. Either way, the audience is sure to like it like with every Marvel movie.
What the F4 needs is a Home-coming like movie, we already know their origin story, we only need to see them getting some sort of connection with Tony

Alcer The Demon Gotta disagree. We didn’t need to see Spider-Man’s origin because it had already been done great in the Raimi trilogy. FF has yet to have heir origin story told properly.

Honestly, especially in tone, THIS is a lot closer to what I I anticipated when Fant4stic announced Trank as director. Before I found out he was going the "younger" route (which I'm still willing to bet was a studio decision, unless he was just really that big a fan of the Ultimate FF).
To me, this is a good tone for an FF movie, with that well placed Signature Marvel Humor (most of which would be supplied by Human Torch; while Reed, Ben and Sue MOSTLY play it straight. Most of the humor from them would derive from realistic reactions to seemingly unrealistic situations, but they would never be jokey. Only Johnny, occasionally Grimm as he accepts/adapts to his new life).
And don't worry about Dr. Doom yet. He's in Latveria, not even aware of FF yet. No, I say pull up those creative bootstraps and find a way to make The Moleman work for their first MCU villain!
It could take place in the 60's and have them sucked into the quantum realm in a freak accident with one of Reed's experiments, until they are freed into modern times by the Avengers, along with the X-Men, Deadpool, etc.
I feel like a 60s setting would make the concept of mole man a little more palatable to more audiences, while also double establishing FF as "Marvel's 1st family"😉
But I think it would be a really interesting dynamic to see the team pulled from the 60s into the Modern Age and watching how everybody, except of course Reed (and to an extent, Sue), seems to struggle with the technological/social advancements and downfalls. With small moments like watching Johnny discover social media and video games with the mentality of a young man from the 60s, before the video game boom ever happened.
