#HighSchoolMusical4 is the upcoming fourth installment of High School Musical. The plot will center on a new group of students at East High, as well as their cross-town rivals, the West High Knights

It feels like it's been a million years since Disney Channel announced that a High School Musical 4 is on the way. And even though you've been waiting forever, details about the movie are still few and far between.
Here's everything you need to know:
Though there's no official release date set for the new High School Musical movie, fans are already psyched as hell for the reboot.
If you were hoping that some of the original characters would return to the halls of East High as teachers, or parents, or anything really, don't get your hopes up. While most of the original cast has expressed excitement over the prospect of a High School Musical 4, they have pretty much dashed any hope of reprising their iconic roles.
Kids who grew up watching #HighSchoolMusical on the Disney Channel have been hoping the original cast members will reunite on HSM 4 since Disney announced it was mounting a follow up to the highly successful franchise. Disney also revealed the new TV movie will feature a new group of stars but this did not stop fans from hoping Efron and his former castmates, such as Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, will make a cameo.
Kenny Ortega, who did the first three TV movies last decade, asked that fans should be open to having a new generation of actors for HSM 4 since Efron, Hudgens and the rest of the cast have moved on with their solo careers and lives as adults. He also shot down a reunion movie by saying it could only happen if fans rally "with fists banging on the table."
The recently announced High School Musical TV series fittingly called High School Musical: The Musical will be an exciting addition to the HSM world. So what's the series about? A new crop of East High Wildcats will put on a performance of High School Musical for their winter theater production. Of course, there's drama on and off stage and there is a whole cast of new characters that you're bound to fall in love with.
The High School Musical franchise consists of three Disney musical romantic comedy-drama films directed by Kenny Ortega and created by Peter Barsocchini with a fourth installment in pre-production. It stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman. On March 1, 2016, a fourth installment was announced. In November 2017, a television spin-off of the franchise was announced to be in development. The films have developed a cult following.

I am just saying that if they had anything other in the fourth movie then then married without a hitch it would not be right because they were the perfect couple in the movies. Do you know something like that or back in East high and Troy is a basketball coach and Gabriella is a lawyer with her own practice or some thing. I just don’t find it believable going on the story and how good they were together that they wouldn’t be married by the fourth movie

This trailer fits Zanessa so much, it really kills to see how Zac & Vanessa don't speak anymore after 13 years. We got HSM reunions, but to this day we still haven't got a Troy & Gabriella reunion. I hope one day the two can finally reunite, even just as friends to finally give us that big reunion we've all been waiting for. I generally feel like they'd have done a HSM 4 if Zac & Vanessa actually got along to do it

Just so you have know, they are not making a 4th movie but they are in fact making a Tv Series called High School Musical: The Musical But it might not have the original cast in it, because we are gonna have an all new generation of Wild Cats, but who knows we don’t know exactly if they are gonna comeback or not
