You missed out Michelle Phan’s makeup brand! I feel likes she’s such an OG beauty KRplusr but her brand gets missed out a lot.
I have respect for everything she puts out.
I think she gets missed a lot because she no longer uploads like she used to. She isn't really in the KRplusr category the same way others are.

I feel like a lot of the controversy from Iqqu and the original Em launches have turned people off. I know she's quietly re-launched Em since, but it was very lowkey and she doesn't participate in the beauty community like she used to, so a lot of people don't know.
Something that I love about Hannah is she always not only gives credit to the person who she was inspired her video but she also links their channel. It doesn’t seem like that big of a thing but it’s actually everything. Don’t see enough people doing that

I disagree. I don’t own any Lunar Beauty, nor do I personally know anyyyyyybodyyyyy who uses Lunar Beauty. Some of the packaging is pretty, but I think it leaves something to be desired. I personally don’t even see a lot of influencers use Lunar Beauty on KRplus either. I know it exists, but it flies so under the radar.
I’m honestly so disappointed in Haus Labs, like she’s LADY GAGA, one of the most over the top campy artists out there, and we get like a neutral palette and basic black packaging. It doesn’t even look like it’s her makeup brand, like it’s so boring.

I remember hearing about the brand back in 2018 and being so excited, and the products leave a bit to be desired. the Stupid Love palette was such a bad tie in for Chromatica. Her shimmer formula is one you have to work with, sometimes for minimal payoff. Some products are good but I feel like the passion is not there and it shows lol
I feel like a lot of people go wrong with their expectations though because she’s far removed from what she gave us 10+ years ago, and to people who haven’t kept up are gonna be out of the loop. I mean her latest launch is a $250 vault of existing products with a Born This Way PR Box to commemorate 10 years of the album…$250 for a themed PR box

definitely. he’s got an older and more mature audience and they definitely weren’t down or defending his behavior. since his behavior these past few years was so calm and classy, his audience reflected that. so when he started acting weird and associating himself with all these problematic ppl a lot of his fans (me for example) didn’t really appreciate that

Well, she was still boring before he married him.
The issue with flower beauty was the shade range. It was originally pretty horrible. It’s better now but not really that balanced. When it launched and I saw the range, I put it in the category with physicians formula and almay.
Same! It’s so weird how theres this category of drugstore makeup that’s just the “for upper/middle class white women” category. If it wasn’t for the Butter Bronzer, PF would be deep in there with Almay and Neutrogena cosmetics.

Imagine if haus labs did a palette or collection for each of gagas albums. They each have such distinctive looks that each collection would so different fun. As a stan, I would LOVE a bright pink with blues and silvers in an Artpop palette. A Lady is the Tramp palette that’s like old school glam with a red glitter. A grungy and dark Born this Way palette. There’s so much creative inspo from gagas career that they’re doing nothing with 😭

Something interesting to me about Jaclyn’s brand is that most of the products/launches have been limited edition, and she didn’t really focus on building a line of mainstay products. Maybe that will change now that she’s in ulta? But that give me weird vibes

Love to see Rare Beauty getting some love ❤️ It’s my personal favorite, I wasn’t expecting to love it so much but the skin products look and feel so skin-like and lightweight on my skin & the eyeliner pen was an instant fav. It’s also cruelty-free/vegan & eco-friendly. A lot of the profits also go to raising money for mental health awareness, & as someone with a physical disability I so appreciate the packaging being inclusive of people with arthritis 😭
I just bought some more products from her brand and I’m enjoy them too. I love her blush, lip balm and the lip cream. Not sure if her foundation is for me (I’m oily) but her concealer is something I may look at next.

I have so much respect for flower beauty. I’m in Australia and everything here is more expensive than in the states. I expect to pay double the Ulta price for anything beauty I buy here once conversion and taxes are added. Flower beauty though, has an exclusivity deal with a chemist chain and our rrp, including taxes is the same as the USA rrp. I love that so much
Rare Beauty isn’t my favorite aesthetic wise, but as someone with a connective tissue disorder they’re iconic in my mind just for having such inclusive packaging.
Rare Beauty has come out and said that their packaging was NOT designed with that in mind - someone falsely tweeted that and everyone ran with it until the brand had to correct them. The ball on top of the caps was just an aesthetic choice

That is sooo true but I feel like 2016/17 makeup style and culture is just the staple style of Jaclyn. She just does not do makeup in a way that is popupar now- more lightweight, natural, feathery brows, intense blush, subdued contour, she does not you know 'get' that kind of style. So I get why she is releasing that stuff but you're so right that it's all dated- the products, the packaging and the names.
I feel like she's got a solid concept behind her brand...too bad that concept is "2016" and "nudes indistinguishable from drugstore nudes"
JH always says she has been working on products for years and it shows. She obviously started these concepts 5-7 years ago and it's taken her that long to get them out to market.

Rare Beauty is my top favorite brand ever! They have such amazing products and with me always being lazy and never having motivation to put on makeup, it makes it super easy to do so and also looks minimal! Everything blends seamlessly and I couldn't be happier with the brand! Cant wait for more products from them💕
I think you should do this for celebrity and influencers brands that aren’t makeup too. Like Chamberlain Coffee, and Halo Beauty!
My issue with Florence by Mills is not that it's targeted to teens but the fact that the pricing of the products is something a working adult could afford. Also the reviews of the products have not been good. If I would have a teenager getting into makeup, I would rather save my money and buy them Colourpop, Revolution beauty and Wet & wild products. Those brands have decent quality products for drugstore prices.
Friendly advice: if you have skillshare, take their Knife Skills class 💕 it will make cooking even more enjoyable (my heart sinks as I see that you are not keeping the knife’s tip on the board 😭 it helps with speed and safety) I love your videos 🤗

unpopular haus labs opinion: i think everyone is upset with the packaging design because everyone still clings to the old, 2000s gaga aesthetic that just doesn't fit her anymore. not to say that she isn't like, fun and colorful (i mean, look at the artpop and chromatica aesthetics) but people saying stuff like "i cannot believe this is the same person who wore the meat dress!!!" ... it's been more than 10 years y'all, let her evolve aesthetically goddamn 😭 also, the packagings of the first wave of products gave me born this way era vibes bc of colour and shape so i wasn't upset with them, but they're definitely getting worse lmao
And I love Tati’s palette as well! I can’t wait for the next one! Her neutrals palette is amazing!
Rare beauty is ICONIC 🥺🥺🥺💓 plus a percentage of their money goes to mental health awareness! They actively make it a point to talk about mental health. Plus their products kick ass! 💓💓💓
I wish more people would give Haus Labs a chance. The reason the packaging is boring is bc she wants it to be accessible. And I honestly think it looks nice. I watched a lot of behind the scenes, as someone who has loved Gaga for ten years, and she was very thoughtful with the brand and every product she thought about the consumer and her own vision. I love every product I own, and I own both palettes, not the 4 ways tho, just bc I have a lot of makeup. I currently have the micro tipped liner and baby blue shadow in mind next! I honestly love the products, but to each their own! I would rather be able to afford her products than have packaging that I have to throw away that is super pretty...
Simple sleek packaging such as rare, feny, milk makeup existed way before haus lab was a thing. I just don't like the pity party we throw at celebrity, called run off the mill back packaging for mid-end price accessible, really... Not to mention the incoherent all over the place design. She going through a lot of personal stuff and haus lab is not ready. Let's not defend mindlessly here.

Fenty and Milk have plenty of products that aren't best sellers or were flops, doesn't mean the whole brand "isn't ready" and shouldn't be allowed to express themselves. Kindness costs nothing and I hope we can just let people enjoy things without being mean about it.

I would put Lunar Beauty in iconic personally. I absolutely love Manny's eyeshadow formula. The brushes are good and really affordable, the lippies are very comfortable and the lip gloss is my favorite formula, though it's a bit pricey for the amount of product you get, so I tend to save it for special circumstances/occasions. I also really love the blush palette. Never tried the highlighters because they are never in stock

@@smokey_glow any polyethylene (plastic) board. Easy to clean, inexpensive to replace. I got mine at home goods. Wood obsorbs juices, like meat etc, and can be difficult to disinfect. Glass is the same situation as the stone.
You can use that pretty stone board as a cheese/veg display board or even a hot mat when you have a hot dish to go on the table.

I love Sam and know this is controversial, but I'd put Auric in the would buy it on sale category. It's expensive and so far basically just her recreating/duping other high-end makeup like the TOM FORD
Cream and Powder Eyeshadow Duo and the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. None of her products have been innovative or exciting yet outside of them simply coming from her.
