How can people not want to hear other’s feelings
Depressed friends dumping their emotional baggage on you over and over again. If you have too much empathy you can't just objectively listen to their feelings, it's gonna take you down with them. And honestly I don't have the eMoTiOnAl BaNdWiTh for that so I made sure they had other friends to support them and stopped talking to them.

It's not that they don't want to hear it it's likely that just like you they're having rough patches and don't need the additional stress of dealing with added baggage. It's simply about respecting boundaries.

There's a possibility that I might have clinical depression.
I live on a tiny rezervation. Our houses are packed together so tight that my neighbors house and mine are about 5 feet apart. They keep getting dogs, neglecting them, then I call the tribal police and the dogs get taken away, then they get more dogs and it happens over and over and over and I cant stop it. I've tried everything, everytime I hear the dogs barking it breaks my heart. They take just barely enough care of the dogs that they avoid getting in serious trouble. I can't afford to move.

That was a great sketch, it hit home considering I've listened to one or two friends of my mother talk to her over the phone who are "gewd" friends.

I find this not relatable at all. Recently, I made friends with a good guy who is really sweet and immediately when I started talking to him he asked about my day after I asked him and I guess I said something that sounded off because he soon after texted “Are you sure there is nothing serious you want to talk about?” And I find that super sweet because *no one* is that nice to me. I talked to him and he talked to me, we help each other but I need to wait for him to warm up with me, he doesn’t like expressing himself he said, but I do know something he does to cope with it and I don’t fully approve of it, but I just try to make him feel better.
