The “be quiet” thing made me remember, what happened to “shut up”?
(I'm not sure so I'm terribly sorry if I'm wrong) but I think that's the joke. Everyone remembers "shut up" but to fit into the Mandela effect joke they wrote "be quiet"

Defy bought Smosh in 2011. Smosh was fine after that for a few years. It started getting bad when all the new people joined.

Thank you for perfectly portraying how stupid I think the mandela effect is. You can't just change a small detail about something and say that's how I've always remembered it.

Theodor Bourelius i thought about them doing that too... but then I realized if that happened, then they couldn’t change there name to Smosh until 3 months have passed. Furthermore, someone else could change the name of there profile to smosh forcing them to not be able to ever change there name back. If you think about it, it would kinda be a stupid decision in the long run.
