The song and the vibe of the mv is really a masterpiece
aespa never disappoint
This song is obviously directed to haters but it’s also for the hated. The message isn’t so much a diss as it is self-assurance. It’s saying to ignore other people’s insensitive, unhelpful opinions about yourself and to embrace your own way.
It also feels connected to their SM culture universe as in Ep.2 we see their AEs turn on them parroting their haters and their insecurities when taken by black mamba. It seems like all of their songs so far are connected to that universe but I couldn’t understand how this one might be until Ep.2 came out.
Tbh i didn’t like their concept at first but now i think its really cool and actually makes real-life points about social technology and media too. It’s definitely unique and also so satisfying to see how everything, all of their music, is related.
