Chanyeol is my bias but let’s be real that Tao was definitely EXO’s best rapper! The swag, the attitude, the raspiness in his voice and his aura while performing is just different. I will always admire Chanyeol, Kris and Sehun as EXO’s rappers but Tao was just different. To think that he never really wanted to leave the group makes me sad. EXO-SC couldve been STC 😭

Tao has an aura and swag no one can compare to, Tao's rapping is something u must see in concerts, also, there is something about his dancing that makes him a main dancer for me, HE IS AN ALL ROUNDER, his vocals are also amazing! I can imagine Stray Kids' Han Jisung in him. A very talented rapper with high vocals, and an eye capturing stage presence dancer! Ztao's talent is everything. He was EXO's secret weapon if only SM revealed it earlier and he didnt leave
I am OT12 but everyone has their own style of dance , singing, rapping... Kris ,Chanyeol, Tao , Sehun all of them have their own styles . Despite being a rapper , Chanyeol vocals/deep voice is on next level but he didn't truly get the appreciation he deserves. Yeah Tao too is one of the best rapper but Chanyeol's rap shouldn't be taken lightly. His live vocals , rapping has always been stable .

My own opinion:
First, Popularity and achievements are from their fans. You streamed their songs multiple times, watched their mvs and buy their albums. Meanwhile, we don't care about any of that. Yes, we do care about our faves achievements and we do try to make them win by voting but not to the point that we're going to waste our time watching the same my for an hour or so. They don't force us too. They remind us that we have a life aside from them.
Second, recognition is also based on popularity. My faves get recognised because of their talents. Their vocals, their sense of style, their versatile acting, their dance styles. They have a life beside shitloads of comebacks and our faves can stand alone without the help of their members. For example: EXO Baekhyun could be BYUN BAEKHYUN as a soloist, as an actor, a luxury brand ambassador.
And I'm proud to say that this is what EXO taught us. We didn't have so many views in an my bcs they always remind us that we should focus on ourselves first or study first than watching their ig lives, them who always tell us to buy foods instead of alburns, and most especially having their own unique talent in their solo activities with us making us all proud as EXO-LS

for me it's only OT10 (Luhan), cause he's the only one that's on good terms with the rest of EXO. Kris left without consulting the members and gave them a huge shock before their first concert. Tao also left a bad impression since he was eager to publicize his interactions with Luhan and Kris after he left EXO. Luhan follows the other EXO members, and Lay even follows him on insta.

Chinese version is fierce. I like Chen' high note, Lay's vocal is versatile and Xiumin's dancing when he is in the centre, leading the whole group moving forward during the M rapping part by Tao is fierce and goes so well with the song.

I realize something here that Tao had the best stage presence among the M. He could be like the best duo with Kai. Unrelated but my family and I watched The Great Wall 3 days ago. The whole time I kept pointing “Look that’s Luhan”. I really dislike how it always seemed like the EXO-M videos were kind of second rate. Like, the M versions never got as much hype and it seemed like they were produced..differently. It almost seems like they weren't as well done as the K versions, and I really hate that. Now I see why almost every single M member left, they really didn't seem like they were treated as well.
I kind of have to disagree with you. If you followed them since their debut, you'll notice that EXO-M was actually a lot more popular where they were promoting (in China) than EXO-K was in S. Korea. In general, EXO-M got a lot more attention than EXO-K and were doing really well up until EXO blew up with Growl. Idk, maybe the production is different (because they're appeasing to technically different audiences), but I wouldn't call it "second rate." I really wish they all had the same views but most of the Chinese MV views are from international fans (since KRplus is blocked in China) and some Korean fans.

I personally love a good number of the M versions, more than the K versions. But a lot of fans (that I've seen, at least) hadn't supported them as much, since (as you said) Growl.

It's true M views are a lot lower and they're not as promoted as the K ones, but I think that's mostly cause SM mainly promotes the K ones since their primary audience is a K-Pop audience. It sucks, but idk views aren't everything. So I'm a big fan of EXO-M and EXO-K but I have a little problem. EXO-M was always my favorite but I have noticed a difference. Their members have a lot of talent but they receive less than EXO-K. For example their music videos are sometimes released later and they do not feature as much. In overdose exo-k has scenes with them in the lit up room and the room with them in suits. But exo-m's video doesn't have the same scene with them in suits. It's like they give exo-k all of the good stuff, and I believe this is very unfair. Sadly I think that these differences have led to the loss of Kris and Luhan. There isn't much we can do but just hope.

I found out about them literally few days ago and I keep seeing comments about someone named luhan leaving and I was just like okay well I don't know who's who and I'm not even sure if I was even going to get attached to them. But now I know everyone's name and I kept saying okay don't get attached to luhan because he left and I'll just be really sad don't get attached to luhan and suddenly kris shows up and I'm like okay well he's my bias but then I found out he left too and then I get attached to all of them especially luhan and I'm like WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY LIFE. DESPAIR NO MORE. Yifan (Kris) and Luhan are both active in China and are doing really well! Luhan is about to release a movie, and Kris is too (his is releasing on Valentine's Day!). You can see several variety shows and interviews they've been doing. I hope you'll find another great bias in EXO, but you can support Yifan, Luhan, and EXO :]
