I really appreciate James for doing voice overs for smaller channels, like 1000 subs is a lot, but James has 2000x that amount... LITERALLY, and in my opinion its one of the kindest things a youtuber can do for their fans is help promote their channels.

I'll be honest, I do sometimes say "you had to be there" in conversations, but I'll say it BEFORE I tell the story, but then I'll explain the story as best as I can despite me being awful at storytelling. That way, I'm not ending it on a cliffhanger, but the excuse is already on the table in case the story ends up not being funny

I really liked the video! Also, you brought up some points that are almost nearly identical to the MLP episode What About Discord. It's basically just one big "you had to be there" moment for the viewers AND Twilight (plus Spike but no one cares about Spike-), only we never get to see any flashbacks or anything to explain to the viewer why it was so funny.
Also I can't watch it anymore except maybe if I can get it to record because frickin' Netflix removed seasons 5 through 8 and only season 9 is on Hulu, frick!
