Dang, this reminds me of when I lost my prized possession as a child. It was a Zorro DVD that I kept from Italy which I played on repeat. One day I annoyed my older brother too much and he grabbed that DVD, got a hammer and crushed it.
He never did anything to heal it. I have yet to forgive him, although I don't despise him as I did for about a year after that incident. I think he's forgotten and he never even apologised or anything. We get along just fine but I will never forget.
