That kid is a specimen of true manhood. He fought through his own pain and fears to protect his mother and his mother is a prime example what a mother should be. She has instilled morals, values and bravery into her child at such a young age that it is beyond impressive.

The driver got a little bit distraction may be thinking the car wont hit anyone as its moving slowly and people could escape also she had to check before crossing because her kid is with her but glad that he stopped and took her to hospital

I study nerologocal patterns in the brain. Smiling is found to be a response to many many things, including this. If he did want to hit her, why didn't he run off or why did he even get out the car?

That being said, you mustn't understand Chinese road law, because pedestrians always have right of way and the vehicle will always be at fault for a collision unless the pedestrian deliberately causes the accident. You should really calm down and spend that energy on research 😉

Hit and run or quite common in traffic acident, but only when it leave casualties. Beside the road was pretty busy so running away isn't an option. But i get watchu mean
I smile or laugh in awkward or serious moments. I've gotten in trouble because of it.
Edit: when I meant serious moments I mean like laughing or smiling at a funeral my earliest memories is when I was 6 or 7 my mom's boyfriends mom died and all I remember is me jolting a lot because I was holding in my laugh. It gets really bad sometimes. Like when my dad died I did the same but it was because I was shocked.....idk I can't explain it
