The offseason of the year they’re actually being drafted would be a fine time to talk about it. Not now when they haven’t proven anything on the field yet.

It's the off season for college football, so the focus can be anywhere he wants. Once the games begin focus shifts!! This makes for great conversation nothing more.
Let’s be real, Deion does not have that level of influence over NFL team owners, coaches and GMs. Even if he did have it over some, he has no idea who will have the top 4 picks next year or who will be taken with top picks this year (it matters) or who how free agency will play out in 2025.
Coach Prime is playing Chess! The white guys did it with no problem. John Elway, Eli Manning. Both have 2 Super Bowl Championships.

this is genius by Prime, he is showing he has his players backs and want them to be stars in NFL. more players are going to want to go to Colorado because they will know Prime has their back and get them in the best possible spot in NFL. You are going to see more top players opting to go to Colorado even if they can get more money somewhere else.

At the same time the attitude of "I don't like the team I'm not going to go" is it really good for their futures. Whose to say teams don't make an example of them. Like ok you don't want to come out fine we won't draft you at all. Remember there is a new hype player every year in the draft. Don't miss out on an opportunity because you think you hotter than you are.
Actually makes a lot of sense. There are teams like Pittsburgh for example who are good at drafting and developing quarterbacks, whereas patriots and some other teams are not. However, patriots are/were good at developing some line backers when BB was there. The team you go too def matters. QB just matters the most but doesn’t mean the other skill positions don’t.
James jones started on the right track as far as the bears organization not putting players in good positions or just poorly managed/owned circus teams and small market teams. Dallas, Chicago, Carolina, Minnesota and other teams like that
