  • κ²Œμ‹œμΌ 2022. 02. 19.
  • The name Ken Shamrock still appears here and there. It is very difficult to overestimate the importance of this fighter for the sport, although Ken himself is not distinguished by modesty.
Today we would like to begin the story of the legacy of "The Most Dangerous Man in the World." We will try to dive into his life, examine him from all sides in order to finally decide - does this fighter deserve all the glory that he has, or is he just a bright figure that shone in his time? We will find out if he was able to be competitive in modern realities and recall many bright fights.
Fasten your seat belts - there will be no stops.

Shamrock looks great on tv. I saw him at a high school wrestling match in San Diego 20 years ago. I’m decent sized. Shamrock had his shoulders in two different zip codes… He is huge. The only time I have ever seen some that big was at the Mr.O in Las Vegas. I have a ton of respect for this guy… Great athlete.

I really did grow up watching Ken Shamrock was a kid in the 90's and after I started to train in mma my instructor&coach had showed me 70% of Ken's mma fights in my teens by the end of the next year he had shown me all of Ken's vintage fights that I am pretty sure that I missed out on when original aired in USA and after that we started finding his fights over seas mostly in Japan

This 2 part series is a great tribute to the definitive early MMA legend its great to see people have renewed interest in legends like Ken Shamrock he and Frank don't get the credit they deserve for helping to grow and develop the sport into the billion dollar industry we now know not only was he an incredible martial arts champion that proved he could still clash with the best into his 50s as well as showing his talents as a performer in the WWF and TNA all while being an amazing coach that created the first real MMA gym that pumped out great fighters with the Lions Den and basically carried Zuffas rebuild of the UFC with his rivalry against Tito Ortiz he was also one of the first fighters that would grow and develop their repertoire of in ring skills instead of just relying on their base the man is truly an underappreciated legend that should be held in the regard as one of the greatest to ever step foot into the octagon

@@deadslash736 yeah, technology advanced real quick in that way over the last few years, at first I thought it was a real dude too, but there's just too many signs. Like you said the dialogue sometimes is just nonsensical, but that could have been bad translations only if the person responsible for the script wasn't english speaking (like me for example). But by listening to many of these, sometimes you can hear inconsistencies in the speech pattern that rings a bell that it actually is an A.I. the information is also stuff you can easily look up on the web. I'm not an expert on this or anything, but there's just too many signs pointing at it.
Also, the weird thumbnails that don't make sense either... Probably a company using algorithms, feeding info to an A.I. that produces those videos. It's getting pretty damn good but it's still not that good that you can tell nobody actually really worked on these!

Ken was one of the first few fighters who are well rounded having a base in catch wrestling + kickboxing = The shoot wrestling style he had gave him advantage in the ground and in standup. Royce best him in the ground tho but it was more of a misshap in ground transition that got him choked out. So the casuals that are saying he is just a bum who tito beat 3x should think twice on what they say. Pancrase era shamrock would tire tito out and submit him in the ground.

If we compare his body shape, with today’s fighters. It’s so obvious steroids was involved. He was so muscular compared to the new age fighter’s.

Ken is the Godfather of MMA. He was the first true mixed martial artist. All the other guys were based on one style but Ken trained in & could do many styles. If not for Ken MMA would have been jiu jitsu matches & would have all but died off. I have the most respect for Ken & all that he accomplished. He truly was the world's most dangerous man in the 90s.
