There is no backspin on the cue ball at all, if you hit the cue ball high it will jump, every single time, causing the object ball to also jump on contact.
I've made this shot a few times, with the eightball clearing a blocker stripe/solid so as to imitate an eightball endgame solution. I love the slow motion, but a different camera angle would help. Either way, cool video!
