Fuck working my whole life away
This is pretty cool, has anyone done this on a bigger scale? Like an exercise ball? Youd need to build a weighted rig to hold it but it would make a fine youtube video.
Edit, i think the rig is very easy to make, youll need a concrete tube for the ball to rest on like a lollipop with a simple strap held with a pin attached to a length of rope, when the pillar drops the rope runs out and pulls the pin releasing the ball sending it straight to the fuggin moon baby. Please, somebody make this. I would but im poor and must work instead of pursuing my dreams of launching an excersise ball into the stars
Gopro time
There are actual experiments with bouncy objects like this. You can put several balls on top of each other long as the mass gets drastically smaller with each ball and the last ball will be sent flying. In this video, the ball suddenly gained three times the speed it had while landing in the water.
I believe this exact principle is used to launch missiles from submarines while underwater. Once the missile is up in the air, main engine kicks in.
If he caught that after the bounce back, he would’ve been a legend.

Dad has a greater mass so he has more momentum while jumping into the water. As he hits the water surface, there is a greater impact on the dad (and the ball), so as he releases the ball it has greater velocity due to less mass.

@@CoolcatsSk8 well, not everyone feels like being a dad. Some people really do hate children and would never even think about having them. Some people do have children and hate them, even coming to the point of abandoning them.
On the other hand, it's both good seing people open and excited to be the best parents they can be and people aware that they'd not deal well with children at all.
Lol this makes me so happy.Such a fun day for that family.🤣😂😅😋💖💞
This is a certified patriarch moment.
Incredible how much energy can be developed submerging the ball. An inverted cannon ball.
How does this work exactly
Does the volume of water shifting because volume of the dad create pressure
Or is it smth else
@@ChesterJoseph a lot of forces are at play here.
You can make a ball pop out of the water just by pulling it down under the water. If it is very buoyant, it will shoot to the surface of the water and into the air. There is a little bit of this happening
Also, when the dad jumps into the water, he displaces a bunch of water. After he is below the surface, the water rushes back to its equilibrium level, which is slamming into the ball and sending it flying. This is mainly what is going on here.
In the replies of the top comment on this video, I shared how we could calculate the force that is transferred to the ball from the water, if you are interested.
The smile is really priceless 🥰

@GreenupSway I'm not sure on the scientific standpoint, but if you submerge any air filled item in water it launches out.
I think it may have to do with buoyancy or pressure if you want to search it up.

An amazing example of upthrust and buoyant force 🤩
We're discussing exactly this experiment in physics class rn lmao
That's hilarious !
Especially when it hits him!! Lol
When u combine two forces of nature i.e., the gravitational pull and buoyancy
Lol never imagined that 🥲
Actually, gravity and buoyancy are directly linked. The buoyant force on an object is equal to the weight of the fluid that is displaced by the object. If gravity were altered somehow, the buoyancy would be as well.

That wrist power bro you can’t just do that he can toss up a half court shot with his wrist alone
It's not really wrist power. It has more to do with the force of the water splashing back up after he jumped in and the buoyancy of the ball
Balloon is filled with air. Density of air < Density of water. So if you put balloon on water it will float. But if you put in under the water, the balloon will rise. Also because the jump, the balloon will jump so high.
