This song is a true masterpiece. There are lots of Kpop songs I like, I‘ll listen for a long time. But I will never get tired of this song. It has something jazzy and soothing, that calms me down when I listen to it.😊
There are songs you fall in love with but get tired of after a while and there are certain songs such as this one which are just true pure masterpieces you can't get tired of because each and every time you listen to it, it's just like hearing it for the first time and falling in love with it again. imo, he 2nd hyolyn that comes later in the bar is the past version. she has the bangs, the style of when she was in a relationship with jooyoung. she represents both hyolyn's and jooyoung's longing for each other. for jooyoung, he is still stuck with the past memories of her and their relationship. he misses her even tho he says, "he could get any woman". in iron's part, he says "I'm dirty behind you. i drink all night with another girl." which i think the 2nd hyolyn also represents. she is also some random woman who he drinks with at night. but for new version of hyolyn who is now in a relationship with the bartender/takuya, the 2nd hyolyn represents her past version of herself when she was with jooyoung. 2nd hyolyn represents her longing for jooyoung. and how the distance makes her miss him even more. that is why i think she is crying behind takuya's back. she shows him she's happy with him but secretly misses jooyoung, therefore crying behind "his back" so that he doesn't know that she ain't moved on fully yet. but they can't be together cuz they'll go back to that toxic relationship. thus, they just stay in the sidelines, eyeing and longing for each other while trying to but not really moving on.
also, notice how her new relationship with takuya is always shown in a brighter/whiter light, with white and soft colored outfits. it might mean that she is finally in a relationship where she is treated well, respected and loved. she is happy, and is most of the time but she still misses jooyoung. on the other hand, both hyolyn and jooyoung are always shown in darker lights, darker setting with bold and dark colored outfits which might mean that their relationship was passionate, but very toxic as well.

It can't be helped people are instantly reminded of Trouble Maker every time there's a collab between a female & male idol like this one. Trouble Maker IS the first EVER unit to have a female & male idol and it's undeniable that after their success one after another female+male idol unit keeps appearing. Anyway, I was expecting a powerful duet. I mean, Hyorin has a POWERFUL singing. This kind of singing reminds me of Soyu's style more. Nevertheless, it's a good song for the season. my take on the story line: if u notice, hyorin always has bangs when she's with jooyoung, but with takuya, she has no bangs. and since irl, she took her bangs away, i guess her with bangs represents the past?? HAHA IDK OK but i think that the scenes with hyorin x jooyoung are the past and she is currently with takuya, but they are still both trying to "erase" each other, hence the second hyorin. she comes in because jooyoung still yearns for her and thats what she looked like when she was with him. but idk this is just my take on it.... if it even makes sense lol BUT HONESTLY THIS SONG IS SLAYING MY LIFE AND I LOVE U HYORIN OMFG SLAY

I was expecting a bit more..... but this is really good. I mean hyorin has one of the most powerful voices I've heard in sistar, so I was expecting something stronger, but I guess a calm song is good for the soul
Joo Young's voice isn't very "powerful". His specialty is more his sweet/soulful voice. Hyorin's voice is usually dynamic and powerful, which is everything Joo Young is not. lol. She did a very good job in matching him so she doesn't overshadow him throughout the song. Esp since this is Joo Young's first real appearance/release under the label, this song is more for Joo Young's benefit than it is for Hyorin's. Starship is handling the artists under SSX quite well. :)
The way I look at it is Hyorin does have an amazing powerful voice and she can belt high notes, we all know this, but she doesn't have to prove of her ability in every single song she does. Calmer songs are as you say "good for the soul". We all know what she can do =-]
She tuned down her voice a bit so that Jooyoung's R&B color can stand out. Another reason that starship is promoting them as a duo rookie (which means you can expect more songs from them in the future) rather than a duet.
If Hyolyn wants to show her techniques, she will do it in SISTAR's song and her solo.

This video could of have been them sitting in a box wearing sweat pants and I would of have still loved it, The emotional delivery of Hyorin was perfect. Her way of releasing her notes with an airy breath made you connect to the song without the video. It is what SYJ of 4Men does. Jooyoung smooth sound which was a pitch above Hyorin and very clear gave the song a balance to the emotional singing from Hyorin. To say the least I love the song, The video as some as you are saying is like troublemaker and it is not. What is similar is the appeal trouble maker had. It is just in an lower does of sex appeal but it is still just as sexy with more class.

Everybody knows that Hyorin has a powerful voice. Literally, EVERYBODY. That's why it's good that she doesn't allow herself to be pigeon-holed and did something different, something that she personally liked as opposed to what's constantly expected of her.
Artists need to be allowed to grow, experiment and expand their repertoire, otherwise it gets stale and boring for them and when it gets boring for them, it comes across in their music and who wants that honestly?

Since I've heard their vocals I can't resist of smiling due to happiness because from the starting point, I really felt the emotions in their voices and I know this is another a masterpiece- a song that depicts class and decency even though romance is the theme. So happy Starship did not overdo the craft since both have strong vocals especially Hyorin. Joo Young's voice really suits in hiphop-ish RnB like this. It was very cool and light for a masculine voice. The story of the mv was also poetic, making it a plus to the overall product. Good job Starship! HyorinXJooYoung Fighting!

I had to watch the mv again and again to finally understand(maybe i didn't understand it xD) but here's my theory: Hyorin and Jooyoung sitting in a bar represents that they're close yet far away from each other. Past Hyorin has bangs and the present one doesn't. So Hyorin is with Takuyo now but still trying to forget Jooyoung. While she was in bed upside down, she thought for a second that Takuya is Jooyoung. When the rap part ends the lyrics says '' You will fall in love with another guy'' then Takuya's in the screen. When Hyorin was in the telephone booth she was ending things with Jooyoung but she still remembers him. after that Takuya is looking the clock, he sees that the Jooyoung's time is over and Hyorin is changed now. He smiles because of that.Then the old Hyorin comes in because Jooyoung still didn't forget the old Hyorin and she's still with him.

This was just pure perfection. People were asking for a powerful song but who cares. Just because Hyorin has a powerful voice doesn't mean every single one of her songs need to be powerful, that would just mess up her voice. Their voice just go so well together! Can't wait for another song from them if there is one!
Ok, in my opinion, the story is about breaking up and erasing memories. In the beginning, Hyolyn/ Hyorin smiles and flirts (kinda) with the bartender. JooYoung sits there and they share some eyecontacts which seems like they have some sort of realtionship. Then, their memories keep rushing through their (or her) mind(s). In the last scene, another Hyolyn comes in, so the whole thing may be Hyolyn's memories about JooYoung. She keeps smiling at the bartender in hopes of forgetting her ex...
