If Sistar had to disband, I'm so glad they did it this way. Not because of controversies or fights between members or their popularity was fizzling. They are simply leaving at peak popularity so each member can do solo stuff with best opportunities. And I love how they prepped Star1s and have been going out with a bang and goodbye celebration stages rather than just quietly announcing it and disappearing like so many girl groups did. It gave fans time to grieve and for Sistar to show how much they appreciated everyone. Sistar did it right.

Her repeatedly saying sorry while her members say "there's nothing to be sorry about". U can tell they've been thru a LOT before coming up with the decision to break up at their PEAK. In the "i like that" performances, it was already somehow clear that the topic has been brought up and some of them didn't like that. But soon realized that they want everyone to be happy afterall, even if that happiness doesn't include them anymore.

Honestly, the ending photo is the most emotional part of this video for me. It hits me so hard. They take a group picture, everything goes gray and it's suddenly... so silent. Especially with Dasom's EPIC narration. So depressing, but unfortunately - it's life, simple as that. We all eventually turn into memories and at some point we'll be forgotten. I always think of this moment during my acting classes when I have to cry instantly. Works everytime.
As someone who experienced separation from a close small group of friends (and will experience it again), I relate to this song. Please make every moment counts with your friends as well. Sometimes you don't know when you'll see them again.

As much as I miss them I think it was smart for them to choose to disband when they did. They didn’t have any scandals and we’re still popular and now they will be remembered as the legends they rightfully are.
They had the best disband that I can remember of all K-Pop groups, and I'm an old-timer. So yeah, they did it beautifully. Hence, I believe so many new viewers are amazed by their "style" and keep harking back to this 2nd gen. Also, a #STAR1 ... so don't believe everything I say, lol.
I was just thinking how Hyolyn's solo career, the reason behind Sistar's disbandment, hasn't exactly taken off like I think she thought it would -- none of their solo careers have for that matter -- but you make a very good point. Sometimes it's best to leave while you're on top. At least they weren't abandoned by their label for money reasons as has been the tragic case far too often. Still, I can't help but hope for a reunion ...maybe reforming under Hyolyn's new label?

Coming from a rather small company, having to fight with big girlgroups like: 2NE1, SNSD (OT9), WONDER GIRLS, MISS A, T-ARA... and still being able to make a name for yourself is what I call power!! Try what SISTAR tried and did, You’ll soon know why they are rightfully called QUEENS!! They were in the golden ERA of Kpop and will go down in the GOLDEN era of Kpop!

Okay so I read a theory about this music video on Instagram. Basically, the pool scene represents how Bora tends to look left out and lonely but then we see the other members sitting by the side of the pool, representing how even if Bora seems distant or excluded, the members are always there right behind her and looking out for her. The scene where Soyou and Hyorin are taking a selfie and Dasom and Bora are in the background shows how Hyorin and Soyou's careers advanced but Bora and Dasom were still always 'in the picture'. Then when Bora and Hyorin are at the front being focused on, Dasom and Soyou are standing in the background which represents how Sistar19 got popular and Dasom and Soyou weren't quite in the spotlight but still supported Sistar19. They disband for the sake of their future, they disband to enter the 2nd stage of their life which mean they have to go on their own and seperated. But we need to be thankful because they disband as ONE, disband without any controversy, talented, win a lot of trophies, and the most important things' they will stay as ONE ENTITY and I'm pretty sure they'll renew their contract as individual w/ Starship and King Kong(under starship) because Sistar and Starship end their contract in good term so basically it's not a big problem. But, Eventhough they're not going to promote as SISTAR anymore but as Hyolyn, Soyou, Bora, and Dasom. Eventhough they'll sign into another company. Not a STAR1, but I'm touched at how this video didn't just seem like a goodbye. In this video, seeing them together laughing and smiling reminded us that the bond between these girls will always be strong. They seem to be disbanding on a good note, which is really good. No unanswered questions or anything. STAR1's are fortunate enough to be blessed be this. It's a beautiful farewell, good luck to the members. #ThankYouSISTAR.

Okay so I read a theory about this music video on Instagram. Basically, the pool scene represents how Bora tends to look left out and lonely but then we see the other members sitting by the side of the pool, representing how even if Bora seems distant or excluded, the members are always there right behind her and looking out for her. The scene where Soyou and Hyorin are taking a selfie and Dasom and Bora are in the background shows how Hyorin and Soyou's careers advanced but Bora and Dasom were still always 'in the picture'. Then when Bora and Hyorin are at the front being focused on, Dasom and Soyou are standing in the background which represents how Sistar19 got popular and Dasom and Soyou weren't quite in the spotlight but still supported Sistar19. Then the part where Dasom falls on the sand is when she received malicious comments, but then Bora turns around to help her up which is showing how Sistar helped her through that. And yeah.

They disband for the sake of their future, they disband to enter the 2nd stage of their life which mean they have to go on their own and seperated. But we need to be thankful because they disband as ONE, disband without any controversy, talented, win a lot of trophies, and the most important things' they will stay as ONE ENTITY and I'm pretty sure they'll renew their contract as individual w/ Starship and King Kong(under starship) because Sistar and Starship end their contract in good term so basically it's not a big problem.
But,
Eventhough they're not going to promote as SISTAR anymore but as Hyolyn, Soyou, Bora, and Dasom.
Eventhough they'll sign into another company.
Idfc about all of that because they'll always be STAR1's Queen and will always be the Queen of Summer.
So dear STAR1, from now on we just need to look forward, keep going on to support, love, and cheer them on their individual activity because that's what they wish for ^

I am not a STAR1 but I have always liked and respected them. Their title tracks are absolutely legendary which have hit Melon roofs so many times. Ma Boy, Give It to Me, So Cool, Touch My Body etc. are songs that actually brought so many people to KPop in the first place. I would like everyone to know that SISTAR is the gg with the highest no. of Melon roof hits, 103 in total and they are 2nd in position only after Big Bang at no.1. You should feel proud of these QUEENS. They are not just legends, they are absolute immortals! Hyolyn is a vocal maestro who can singlehandedly slay a whole group if she wants to.
I know all good things must come to an end one day but that doesn't make Starship look any more guilty of how they have treated these legends. My heart goes out to all the wonderful Star1s who have stuck with SISTAR for 7 long years. I know you all are going down the memory lane right now. Stay strong and stay COOL just like your idols. their contract with starship expired and from what i've heard, they signed a new contract but as individuals, not as group. there isn't any problem between members or with starship so they are disbanding in a very good term! ^^

I would really love a comeback! To me, Sistar is my fav female kpop band. Great personalities and professionalism. Versatile in terms of songs, and they're all so pretty as well! For me theyre the best :)
