Love the poetic feel of Monica having the first line and Chandler having the last line, since they were really the backbone of friends, helping everyone through their lives, Joey with his acting career, Pheobe with boyfriends and pregnancy, Ross and Rachel with their relationship, Emma and Ben..

The one who should be become chandler roommate was a photographer, not joey. But, when the photographer just about to move in into chandler's apt, mr heckles stopped the guy (the photographer) right in front of the door. Then, mr heckles lied to the guy and said he (mr heckles) is the legitimate new roommate. The guy then left the apt with confusion. The next day, when monica thanks chandler for his decision to choose joey to be his new roommate, chandler said that the photographer guy never really come.

This show is so soaked in positive nostalgia. The opening theme will be remembered for the next 100 years or more, and that is pretty special.

I always loved that the writers gave Chandler the last line. He obviously was known for many of the laughs during the show based on the kind of person he was. And who better to send the fans off with one last laugh than him. Simply amazing. 👏🏻

I think that aside from the obvious, that final scene is so emotional because it doesn't look like they're acting. The words that are coming out their mouths are scripted but the emotions are real. They are truly saying good bye to a part of their lives just like in the fiction.
Jenn and Courtney look like they're legit having a breakdown. Lisa can barely stick it together. Matt giving a like final glance to the set and the audience before his final line is heartbreaking. And David and Mathew have never look sadder.
That's why the only solution to recover from watching this episode is to immediately watch episode 1 of season 1, and that's why every fan watches it in an endless loop.
