The fact that theres more than 5 couples in this show that none of them had a happy ending, its either one of them getting killed of being married to other person...

Although scarlet heart ryeo is a historical fiction drama, the system back in their days used to work like that. People get killed. No happy endings. Everything must be done just for power and throne.
So let me count.
1. Wook and Myung (this one seems one sided but I think the finale shows this is true love after all. When Myung is all Wook think of moment before he died) one succumbed to disease the other died as a prisoner
2. So and Hae Soo. One died of illness the other left as a lonely king because all of the people he cared and loves either die or left him in fear.
3. King Taejo and Maid Oh Soo-yeon. One sacrifice her live the other can't even mourn because he is forced to execute her. Someone he truly love but he have to hide the feeling until the moment they reunite in the afterlife (this one is personally what I think the closest to a happy ending)
4. Baek-Ah and Woo-Hee (this is Basically a Goryeo version of Romeo and Juliet). One commit suicide to save her people while the other have to watch unable to do anything as she fall to her death.
5. Eun and Soon-deok. They are slaughtered together
Bonus for one sided couple
Chae-Ryung and Won. Both die as traitor
Interesting that series also use foreshadowing everytime a relationship about to end those couple spend time together.
Wook and Myung walk in the snow before she died in Wook's back.
Soo and So become intimate together in the Palace making it their own little love court. before So goes full King and eliminates all his enemy. making Hae Soo leaves in fear.
The King last cup of tea with Maid Oh,
Baek-Ah and Woo-Hee goodbye and final kiss in the bathing cabin,
Eun and Soon-deok playtime at the bathing cabin and their probably first and final kiss that lead to their demise.
Everytime a couples seems to having their moment of love its almost mean their demise

I just realized that Scarlet Heart OST are using top singers like Lee Hi, Epic High, Davichi, Baek A Yeon, Loco, Punch even the popular EXO, Taeyeon and IOI. The drama itself is using top idols and actors. The storyline is amazing and the props are no joke. This drama costs a lot I bet. I feel so sad to hear how this drama has low rating:/ Please spread more love to Scarlet Heart.

It felt like a scene from Disney. Just magical. To be precise, I got Beauty and The Beast vibes in that scene: remember the snow scene in Beauty and The Beast. Even the outfits Belle and Hae Soo wore felt similar and the vibes The Beast and Wook gave felt similar to me. The irony was that the actual Beast happened to be Wang So who felt for our Goryeo era Belle, Hae Soo and became a true prince and human being.
Taeyeon's voice may be not powerful like Ailee but she definitely can put tears in your eyes just by listening her voice and I think that's pretty hard to do.

Yeah she is an kpop idol regardless. Unless she starts producing, composing and writing most of her own songs then I MAYBE would call her an artist, but even that's a stretch. The training she had to do from SM and the lack of control she has over her own career (this includes every field, like dance, choice in variety shows, clothe...) Is what will always make her associated to being a Kpop idol. To add on to this it kind of sucks because it is as if she is a puppet and SM is the puppeteer. Like a product that is sold to everyone. 극 중후반까지 욱이랑 럽라였어서 나는 남주랑 섭남주 반반임 ㅠㅠ
솔직히 해수는 옥살이 할 때 욱이가 오지 않았던 것도, 빗속에서 뒷 모습을 보였던 것도, 무수리 시절 1년 동안 걸음 한 번 하지 않은 것도 다 이해했음 보고싶었던적 있냐는 해수의 물음에 매일이라고 대답했을 때. 그걸로 됐다는 해수의 대답은 정말 ㅜㅜ 진심이었음 그 후 욱이가 다시 모든걸 돌려놓겠다고, 널 돌아오게 할거라고 단언했을 때 해수가 그랬지. 쉽지 않을거라고. 그때도 돌릴 수 있었음 ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ
연화가 중간에 선 넘지 않았으면, 욱이가 비뚫어진 마음을 갖게 되지 않았다면, 황제가 되면 해수를 더 이상 아프게 하지 않겠다는 확신을 갖지 않았다면 달라졌음...
욱이가 황제가 되었어도 형제와 조카를 치는거야말로 순리이고 해수가 아닌 힘 있는 외가를 둔 황후를 맞이하는 것도.. 단 하나도 소와 다르지 않았을 순리이고 역사임 ㅜㅜ
욱이가 전처를 그리는 마음 또한 연모라 하였는데 우정과 애정, 그리움, 늘 곁에 있었다는 그런 생각 등을 총칭하는 말임 사람에 대한 감정을 무엇 하나 뚜렷하게 구분 지을 수 없기 때문에. 그치만 은애는 처음부터 끝까지 해수다 ㅠㅠ 정말 순애보임 단지 방법이 잘못됐을뿐

That feeling when you ship IU/Hae Soo with Wook but when you saw ep.11 you can feel what hae soo's been feeling when she was left behind by wook. It teared my heart out. All with you reminds me with the two of them. Wook and Soo before everything happened I was just so damn inlove with them, that look when Wook is crazily fond of Hae Soo but then everything changed and I super hate him. Even though he did that to save his family still I was hurt by it and I won't be able to forgive him. Seeing him pained my heart. I can't move on by what he did. DAMN HIM! Who's with me? #justsharing tbh, I ship Hae Soo now with Wang So because I know that he can protect Hae Soo and I know that no matter what happened he will be there by her side. his not a coward like Wook.

Their love for each other was so honest, pure and natural. At the end both of them turns their back to her and she died full of pain and with an empty heart.
