These are mainly ballads. I know Monsta X is known for more energetic songs but they have lots of ballads as their B sides and their voices really shine there

Exactly. A true idol, at least to me personally. Of course his kindness and genuine personality are nice but his strong passion for what he does is a true inspiration. This song is so comforting. I don’t know the lyrics but just from Shownu’s voice I feel so safe like he’s telling me everything is going to be okay.
Reading all the comments about how people are surprised that Shownu can sing like that, I feel both sad and happy. Sad that his singing talent was basically hidden away but happy that at least now he is able to showcase it. Hopefully he gets more opportunities to do so in the future.
For me Shownu's voice is not a surprise. More surprise for me were Wonho and Minhyuk's voices in UR and Wonho in Lost in the dream, Hyungwon in Interstellar and IM in fighter switch part ver. MX all have good voices but not everyone has good apportunity to show them. And only stans who look much closer can notice that.
I think that was one of "the reasons" Wonho prefer to leave. Sad that Starship intertainment got it only now, and started giving MX more freedom.

Just that they do not know that he sang (the korean comments especially talk about having seen him on tv but having no idea that he sang) which says alot about how he has been marketed/promoted.
