'헤이즈' [도깨비 OST Part.14]
드라마와 함께 음악으로도 감동을 이어가며 '신드롬'을 일으키고 있는 드라마 '도깨비' OST가 가수 '헤이즈'와 '한수지'의 콜라보레이션으로 대미를 장식한다.
도깨비의 마지막 OST인 '헤이즈'와 '한수지'가 참여한 "Round and round(라운드 앤 라운드)"가 공개됐다. 이 곡은 드라마의 오프닝 타이틀 음악 및 극 중 각종 주요 장면에 삽입되어 첫 회 방영 직후부터 음원 발매 문의가 폭주한 데 이어, 공유와 이동욱이 대파를 들고 모델처럼 걸어 화제를 모았던 '대파 런웨이 씬'에도 삽입되면서 시청자들은 물론 제작진들로부터도 완곡 발매 요청이 빗발쳐 정식 음원 발매로 이어지게 되었다. 이에 이번 음원은 드라마의 감동을 최대한 이어가기 위해 드라마에 삽입되었던 '한수지'가 부른 50초 가량의 원곡을 3분 30초 가량의 풀버전으로 편곡, 원곡의 감동에 보다 풍성함을 더하기 위해 '헤이즈'가 참여하여 두 사람의 콜라보레이션으로 곡을 완성시켰다.

내 최애곡이 될 뻔 했는데 씨제이가 다 망쳤다. 지들 음원 팔아먹으려고 자기네 가수 꽂는 이 미친.. 아무리 그래도 그렇지 드라마 시청자들의 여운조차 뺏어가면 어떡하냐. 완전 다른 곡이 됐으며 원곡가수가 피쳐링가수가 되는 신기한 마법. 대체 도입부분 반주는 왜 바꿨는데? 이게 선물이냐? 뒤로 갈수록 이 곡의 분위기는 아예... 저 멀리 하늘로...... 아아, 님은 갔습니다. 'never far away'님은 갔습니다. 도깨비 때문에 이 음원이 잘 팔리긴 하겠으나 진짜 도깨비 오슽흐 중 최초로 실망감이 든 노래. 그냥 한수지 님이 다 부르게 하지.. 진짜 딱 50초만 부르시고 퇴장이네. 만약 한수지 님이 끝까지 완창하셨다면 음원은 더 잘 팔렸을 거다. 도깨비 음감님 천재 중 천재이신거 아는데 왜 갑자기 이러시는 거죠....

진짜 뭐라해야 되나 신적이고 신성스러운 느낌이 들어서 도깨비에 진짜 잘 어울리는 것 같음 좀 오버하면 어설프게 신 흉내내면서 까부는 다른 신 나오는 드라마들이랑은 타와 궤를 달리하는 느낌까지 줌(물론 드라마 자체가 수준이 높아서 그런거지만)

animemachinex3 The original song is only a minute long sung by Han soo ji. That is the original version. They never planned on releasing it which is why it was only a minute long with the repeating lyrics. But because of the high demand for this song to be released, they decided to add onto the original and make it into a song instead of just as background music which leads to this version with Heize. With this version they made Heize the main singer and Han soo ji as the person featured in the song. Han soo ji's parts were already finished recording and everything so they just had Heize sing her parts and merged them together into one song. So originally, Han Soo Ji's version is the original one but I guess Heize's version ft. Han soo ji's is the official song for the soundtrack.

The original singer of this song is definitely Han Soo Ji, the first chorus is sing by her. I guess the situation is... the song originally was only 1 min long, but no one predicted it would be that hit, so they found heize to record the rest of the song.

nem nem no.. I think this song was not scheduled as OST in the beginning, but just as one of the BGM. That's why I said no one predicted this song would be that hit so it became an OST at the end. Unfortunately I guess they were not able to find the original singer, which was Han Soo Ji, to record the song again
I like the middle part, but for the chorus one, I still prefer Han's version

I'm sorry to say that but since I too asked for the full version of this song and here I am the public, I have my own opinion about the product that is offered to us. And what I have to say is: what the hell they done with the song?
I loved this song in the opening. The opening version, with the organ, melancolic vocals and powerful drums is my favorite. Because it blends well with the melancolic, fantastic and mystic atmosphere of the show. When I first heard the song in the opening, I thought that was like a Ji Eun Taek's monologue, or a confession of what she feels, like if she was telling to Kim Shin all her insecurities about their relationship, and I absolutely loved that, because the powerful vocal of Soo Ji show us very well the melancolic side, the brightness, the transcendance and the inocence of Kim Shin and Ji Eun Taek's relationship.
This perspective of the show is totally arruinated when the organ stops to play and Heize comes in. I guess that her voice is decent for someone who is mainly a rapper. It's sweet, it has a R&B vibe in it and I totally adore voices in the same style as hers. In the other side... It. Doesn't. Fit. The. Song. Neither. The. Show. I was, and I still, a bit disappointed. Heize has a suavity in her voice that is pleasant to listen and a cool vibe too. And I, as a singer, think that she has a likeable timbre. It's nah, okay. I've listened to better voices. But, although i think her voice it's a bit pleasant, I didn't like the way she imposed her voice, neither the way it resonates just because - differently from Soo Ji's timbre, which is mature, has a good resonance, it's powerful, beautiful and antecipes all of the emotions that Goblin takes in it's scenes in the most sensible and emotional way, the way that I, as part of audience, waits for -, Heize's voice is weak and did not expressed in the same way that Soo Ji's voice did the atmosphere of the show in it's totality. In the end, her part was ordinary. I feel it was like something that Christina Perri did. Well... In the end... I didn't like it at all.
Perhaps I'm being just too cruel, but that's all I feel about it. Sorry if I showed myself arrogant or something similar. It's just... I'm saaaaaaad. T-T And sorry if my commentary have some mistakes. English it's not my first language. xD

안타깝지만 never far away는 이 곡의 제목이 아닙니다.
뉴스로도 확인 가능한 내용인데 원래 이 곡은 50초정도의 제목조차 없는 곡이였습니다.
그러나 시청자들의 반응이 폭발적이라 50초에서 3분 가량으로 편곡을 진행했고 그제서야 round and round라는 제목이 생긴거죠.
never far away는 곡 길이가 50초밖에 되지 않고, 정식 음반이 나오기 전 시청자들이 붙인 가칭입니다.

I saw it as being that once Eun Tak has died for the fourth time, Kim Shin will die too, and they'll go to heaven together (a bit how Grim Reaper and Sunny 'died' together).
My reasoning is that the thing that made him regain his immortality after the sword was removed was the contract with Eun Tak to meet her at every first snow fall. Thus, when she dies for the final time, that contract will terminate and he'll die with her, so he wont be alone forever. (As he'll no longer have a strong purpose to keep him on earth, as he did both the first time he was made Goblin (killing the evil eunuch) and the second time (Eun Tak's contract).
Though the idea that he'll remain as a Goblin and Eun Tak as an angel on earth is really really lovely as she did mention that she wouldn't mind immortality if it meant being with him.(And that would make such a good spin off...in my dreams :D)

a hyung, you are basing it off what we think we know. The butterfly already said Kim Shin's punishment has ended with his sword pulled out. There is no longer anything forcing him to continue to live on. He lives because he wants to wait for Eun Tak. When she ends her fourth, there is a very good likelihood that he will choose to simply die as well.
Note that he is ageless but no longer immune to death from violence (aka someone hits him with a truck) and can be killed if he simply refuses to use his powers to defend himself. The distinction between being ageless and being killable is pretty big (think Thor). Of course that raises the question of whether it would be considered suicide but that is up to the writer.
Alternatively, remember that wang yeo ended up going to the after life with kim sun and the butterfly god could arrange the same by simply asking him to choose at the time of EunTak's fourth death.

Thanks for the cast Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, Yook Sungjae, writer Kim Eun Sook and PD Lee Eung Bok for this awesome drama.

Actually, on my own opinion (its just opinion so please take it easy) Soo Ji Han's voice will be perfect for this song even with no featuring. I didnt mean Heize's voice was not good but Soo Ji's voice seems like full of soul and emotion and i think thats why one minute song can give many love by fans or people who watch this intro drama. Well like i said, Heize's voice didn't mean not good. It also good but is kinda of different feeling. Soo Ji can make people falling on this song after hear it on their first time and Heize voice just only kind of ballad so people not 'attention' too much on her voice.
Well CJ must have their own reason to make Heize became the main singer. But i think if they 'must' add Heize it will be nice she did on the rap part cause she was good on the rap too and many OST with ballad song but have a rap part too and it was a good song like 'Auditory Hallucination' by Jang Jae In feat NaShow in 'Kill Me Heal Me' drama or 'Once Again' by Mad Clown feat Kim Na Young on 'Descendant of The Sun' drama or maybe like 'Stay With Me' by Punch feat. Chanyeol who also give their voice for this drama.
Anyway, i really hope they release a second version of this song (and this for Soo Ji Han's voice only) like 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds' do for their ost (its called 'Because I Miss You' by Beige (for Ra On ver.) and for sec ver by Hwang Chi Yeol (for Lee Young ver.). Both of them can sing it verry well and that song was a hit.

No offense to Heize but her voice just brought the song's quality down so much. It sounds like they put so much things into her voice to make it sound good that its almost irritating to hear. Look at the charts, people are eating up majority of the OST tracks! Why do CJ have to get greedy? If they released it with just Han Sooji, people would still listen to it. What sells is not Heize but GOBLIN. What a freaking mess.

I know that ur aren't hating cause your thinking that. If your making heize bad tan don't do that. If u don't like it, leave because you have no right to comment here if you don't like it

Why are you trying to police what I view on the internet? I don't hate it. I don't even mind Heize being there but having a whole different tone and diction threw me off so much. But I'm still listening to the entire song you know? You enjoy it so you do you. Please stop worrying about other people's opinions.

헤이즈분 목소리도 좋긴한데 한수지분이 불르는걸 몇주전부터 기더리던 저는 한수지분 버전이 더좋은데 ㅜㅜ 마지막 ost라서 가장기대했던ost라서 기대했는데 ㅜㅜ곡이 완전 바껴버려서 ㅜ

I have gone through the comment section and most of comments are complaints. it seem like CJ made a wrong move!! maybe CJ want to promoted Heize but probably end up make Heize getting hate from fans. How ironic? If you really want to promote Heize why don't let her sing since the beginning? So that Han Soo Ji's voice wouldn't grave in our heart this much. We all have waited with high expectation for this song but CJ really ruined everything, Han Soo Ji, Heize and Fan feeling. One more thing, I feel sorry to Han Soo Ji (since i heard ppl said she is depressed now) Han Soo Ji fighting!!! Your first 50s intro in drama successfully captivated our heart

Some people don't notice that there are two singers here. Han Soo Ji is the original singer and she still sings her part here at the beginning. Heize has a higher different tone and sings after Han Soo Ji. Then they duet towards the end. I guess the producers didn't think that an unknown singer would sell so they added Heize and just made Han Soo Ji a feature. Personally, I prefer the original version but this one is good as well... but had somewhat lost that mystery from the original one.

2023, desde hace 6, 7 años este hermoso drama sigue estando presente en mi corazón siendo mi fav desde entonces, hace unos dias lo volvi a ver y es simplemente la misma magia desde 2016, de hecho ire a verlo ahora mismo ❤
