ok short story! So while in college in Kirksville Misery there was a KFC buffet near our college campus and we used to go on sundays after saving up for a week. We were all super poor college kids and my buddy used to sneak fried chicken out from the buffet to eat in the dorms. The method he used to sneak the FRIED chicken out was...put it down his pants....I know, yes I also asked him why he did that cause that's so gross. His response, I just washed my underwear.

ribeye thin strip is actually really easy to over or under cook. He was lucky it came out as medium. I have to often over cooked mine into medium by leaving it on the grill for 10 seconds to long as it cooks fast

Last time i was in japan, my wife lost maybe $30 USD on the games and one of the Japanese guys ended up winning about 2 games after my wife gave up and gave toy to my wife. :) Love Japan, everyone there is so friendly.

Original recipe has always been like this.. at least in Australia and Asia. In Australia we get a special edition "Hot n Spicy" variety once a year which is covered in super crispy batter and extra spice. This is the good stuff!

One of the things that I was not expecting but was one of my favorite food things in Japan, was just how good the custards were or really anything with eggs. Just mind blowing how even the little flans from 7-eleven were so much better than anything I could get stateside. Mind blowingly good eggs.

There's no "Google employee" that checks for the working hours of places and checks them as closed/open, it's the users that do that. I was a "Local Guide" myself, where I'd review places and report any mistake I could see. Problem is, not everything is always visible to everybody. If the mall is closed, chances are the KFC is too. Don't trust Google *Maps* when it comes to rarely updated places (like restaurants).

No, the original KFC chicken was slightly crispy, cooked to a nearly walnut brown, and bones frequently broke while eating it. After the 70s, only once did I come across a duplicate of this type of chicken. It was from KFC and was original recipe that had been overcooked by several minutes. It was delicious, if not particularly crunchy.
Original recipe is suppose to be soft so I don’t get why he claiming it’s so soft.

When I was in Japan (May 2019), I took a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka just to have the KFC buffet there (this was before the one in Grandberry Park opened, otherwise I would have just gone there) No wait, was seated right away and there was mashed potato and gravy! So I thought that one was pretty good.

That original recipe at KFC in the 1970s was never made crispy or extra crispy. As a little kid I loved that soft steamed skin! You’re so lucky to have a buffet. I did make it to the regular KFC in Korea, but the only thing there that bothered me was the cars parked backwards😁
Travelled to Tokyo in 1/2020, best 10 days ever! Majority of Japanese were super friendly and nice, loved it there and I will visit Japan again and again!

This is the most KRplusy I've ever seen Mike. By that I mean, a lot of KRplusrs just give hot takes, are mean, and, in between, trying to make cute faces. Usually he's way more chill. I guess that train ride and wait really bothered him.

Been eating KFC since 1978 and they call that crust they’re serving the “original” There’s also a crunchy version they offer as an alternative looking for a crunchy version. I still prefer the original. But lately KFC been serving saltier chicken.

The dry chicken may be a cause of rapid thaw. They instead of thaw it out normally over a few days in the refrigerator. They thawed it out less then a day. Which means that some chicken cooked semi frozen. Which makes the chicken and any meat tough and dry.

I've been to a few KFC buffets here in the US. Usually there's very few options for its moderate price but if you go right before the lunch rush the chicken will go as fast as they place it so you'll always have a stream of fresh flash fried chicken.
