So for everyone wondering, wtf Edelweiss means in reference to the song. Edelweiss was a flower that grows in mountainous snowy areas. Hense why Till is Albino. But the history behind it in Switzerland is the important part. The Edelweiss was a favorite flower of Hilter but was later used as a symbol for the German resistance against Nazism. They took the flower and used it against Hilter just to spite him! This resistance eventually became known as the "Edelweiss Pirates" and acted as an internal rebellion against Hilter's reign.
So in the context of Alien Stage, Till saying his love for our main girl is a rebellion against a tyrannical force. That it's so deep that he will fight to the death for it and actively defy the system to be with her. It's not just a declaration of love. It is a declaration of war.

I’m not trying to speak for the original commenter, but I also thought the episode seemed a bit off compared to the first one 🤔 I think it was because there wasn’t as much emotional buildup. With the first round, they used a slow song and displayed a montage of the relationship between the two girls. You could clearly follow the storyline and became invested in the outcome of the round. However, this video was extremely fast-paced and featured no real competition. It took me a few rewatches to understand what the deal was with the white-haired dude, and even then I’m still unsure of his intentions. Is he obsessed with the pink-haired girl? In love with her? Or does he simply idolize her? And why did he smash the guitar and purposefully get himself injured? Even though the song was awesome, I felt as if I was left with more questions than answers (and no real feeling of resolution)…. However, I’m not going to make hard judgements, as it may be that the character will be more fleshed out in future iterations..

in my personal opinion, i think this song is fine, it doesnt have to follow the first round style as you see till being unstable mentally, in comparison, the first round is about passion and sweet love mizi has for the black haired girl (sorry i forgot her name) and in this one is till being insane and unstable, probably why the rock element, the song being short is maybe because he didnt gave enough time to even make a duet or a song battle
he probably does love mizi and i read some few comments from the mv, shes probably who gives him a reason to keep going (also i theorize he wanted to receive the same love mizi gave to her gfriend, since he never received care and love). this song also has a flower that symbolize him but currently i dont remember the metaphor, i just remember pure and innocence, there are more but, ergo, i dont rememeber

The grey-haired one might’ve smashed his guitar to kill the brown-haired one, his competition. At 1:35 in the video, you can see that the moment the brown haired one starts trying to sing, suddenly the guitar flashes across the screen. At 1:39, the guitar smashes, but it has organs inside. The fact that the guitar has organs inside is likely a hint that he didn’t just smash the guitar, but killed the brown haired guy. The concerned expressions of the aliens at 1:48, the odd nature of the “win” sign (not showing any points at all), his deranged expression, the change to a stark red background, and the fact he was bleeding when moved to his own “pod” like pink-haired girl (punishment for not playing the game fairly? pink-haired girl wasn’t bleeding when they put her “collar” back on her) all support this.
As for his thoughts on the pink-haired girl, at 0:39 in the original video, you can see him look at her in the “pod” and tense up. At 0:42 he’s beaten up while looking at them playing, implying he’s being tortured or hurt by either other kids or aliens. At 0:47 you can see him being slammed up against something while blindfolded. At 0:48 he’s standing in front of some sort of corrupted entity holding a pinkish-red bracelet that almost looks like flowers. Maybe this was from the girl?
At 0:52 he’s in the middle of an empty room with prison bars (?) and papers. His outfit is pretty similar to the short black haired one with one fang. He’s beaten up in this shot too. Perhaps he’s trying to rebel against the aliens, and is being beaten up for it? When he describes his feelings, he says “Error: no better options.” Maybe this means that he doesn’t really like this girl, he’s just latched onto her for some unknown reason. 1:12 shows a marked difference between him and the two girls. He finds out that he passed all alone, in a barred and sterile prison chamber with black clothes on. The girls find out they pass together, in white clothes, surrounded by grass. I think he has a 1-sided obsession with her due to his loneliness.
Now for black-haired person with fang. At 1:07 in the ALIEN STAGE video, they seem to be standing right next to grey-hair. At 1:32 there is a person who looks like black-hair (and probably is because there’s no other person with black hair other than the girl in ROUND 1) competing with grey-hair. Maybe they know this will happen? It looks almost like they’re dancing.
