Wes Anderson's choice of music was the thing that stuck with me the most.
I love how he plays with our preconceptions and just does the opposite.
He’ll take a seemingly polite character and put him in the least polite places.
He lures you into a false sense of comfort in with his set, the colors and the ethereal cinematography. But it has such vulgar, deep and dark subject matter. I.e. The Grand Budapest Hotel.

He dresses exactly like the characters in his movies.
More like, the characters in his movies dress like him...a lot like Christopher Nolan too, with his characters dressing like him. These film makers create worlds that mirror them (the directors).
Because his buddies are the characters.
I find his dress-sense sharp and elegant without trying too hard. Reminds me of old Hollywood stars like Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, David Niven and the lot.
And he makes movies about himself. If he wasn't exactly like the kid in Rushmore he at least wanted to be.
Like how Anderson looks like a random guy interrupting the shooting process in some scenes
Wes Anderson is like really a genious of our time. Every time i see a movie he made it feels like art. Other movies sometimes have those beautifull moments makes them remembered, but Wes's movies are like this from start till the end. Every act is composed perfectly, everything have a meaning. If the scene is at a hotel, it's not just a regular hotel they found. He pours ideas and visuals into that place. I loved two or three Wes movies beofre i even knew they are all made by him. He have the style most modern movies are lack of sadly...

he's going to be remembered in history as one of the greatest directors of all time. his mind is art, and everything he creates is a masterpiece like no other. truly, truly, truly a genius. i'm grateful we get to live in the world with such a director in our time.

took the words out of my mouth, Darjeeling Limited was my first experience as a young kid and it heavily imprinted on me having a brother, he captures emotions incredibly well and in a realistic chaotic way i love

@@StudioBinder I actually grew up with Fantastic Mr. Fox since I never heard of that children's written by Roal Dahl yet. But now, it felt different between movies and the original source material.

juan zatarain There are a lot of talented people who have come along to present creative and Artistic visions. Kubrick did so with much thought and extensive research and always put forth intellectual and philosophical ideas in his work in a more cold and detached manner because that was who he was. Some filmmakers don’t show who the truly are but most do in one way or another and Kubrick certainly was, from the very beginning interested in only was he was interested in and not others before the time directors where no more than creative pawns in a studio.
There’s great works today from PTA, also great writing from Charlie Kaufman who directs now too and... y’know I’m trying not to give away too mainstream creatives not because I think the mainstream is bad but because I think there’s unrecognized work and we should all acknowledge it ASAP.

Don't need to change. They're beautiful, symmetrical movies that have our capacity for kindness at their core.
Wes Andersons films feel so light and easy to digest from emotional side. I feel like having this kind of calm state in me created by the whole production eventho the story is changing or climaxing or maybe smth bad happened, idk to describe it properly into words. Those symmetrical shots and colors ease the audiences while the plot is either bright or dark.

He's definitely one of the greats of his generation. Not many director has an unique style like he does. When you see a trailer of his you know instantly it is his film. He chooses his stories to tell very well.
Wes Anderson understands precision so well that many of us in the Robot community believe he may be a Robot himself. A great director for viewers who are intelligent... but also artificially intelligent.

I always feel his movies look like a “I Spy” book come to life. Always warm and whimsical visuals.
He is his own genre. Periodt.
I love his cinema. His telling of stories is so distinctively odd, extreme, while brilliant from top to bottom. Wes Anderson is hands down one of the best film makers born, not because of his stories, but because of his style, themes, storytelling. Simple, and gorgeous. The grand Budapest Hotel is the most beautiful comedy film i watched ever. Moonrise Kingdom and The darjeeling limited are also good in their own ways.
Isle of Dogs is one of the most inspiring movies I've ever seen.

Wes is such an inspiring person. Bottle Rocket still feels like something that everyone involved in it really loved and cared about without any concerns and seeing how he kept that feeling in all of his films and expanded on it so much even though the initial reception wasn't too great is beautiful. He seems like a person that, when you meet him, would instantly put a smile on your face and would always have something interesting to say. just the perfect human being.

Everytime there’s a Wes Anderson film reease, I’m sold. He always has the unique style, visual, tone, humor and weird awkward characters (that’s why I’m lovin it)

There have been a lot of great directors. Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorcese, John Huston, David Fincher. Ridley Scott.
But there are some directors that are "different". Not only do they make good movies, but they also make them in their own unique, recognizable style.
Here are my favorites: Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Alex Garland, Darren Aronofsky, Coen brothers.

As someone who is working on my first short film, videos with directors, are really inspiring and helpful. I watched the one with Martin Scorsese right before watching this one, and I really got a lot out of the both of them. What I like about Wes Anderson films is that besides being very original they are very playful in a sense. He creates a whole new world filled with rich and interesting characters you've probably never seen before. What more could you ask for from a film maker?

One of my top five's is Rushmore. Loved it from day one. Then went to film school and due to my new found knowledge, started to unlove many films I previously thought were great. Then watched Rushmore with great trepidation, expecting not to like it, but loved it just the same. I cried most of way through as I came to realise I loved those characters more than my own family. They were my family.
Even the intro clip you made gave me goosebumps

I think his performance and character in Lost In Translation sticks with me more. He should of won an oscar for it. ~ I was always kind of mystified by Bill's reaction at the Oscars.. @@thomasrainbow he was one dimensional in Royal. He was amazing in" ground hogs day". The wes Anderson, the "life aquatic" he was great and he was the man in Rushmore. In royal ,the other actors stood out more. Hackman was amazing in Royal. Can you imagine if Murray was casted as Royal? That would have been a good fit.

Whenever I recall my childhood memories it looked liked Wes Anderson's movies and I didn't realize until I first watched his movie. I feel so connected to his movies. My artwork, and my way of doing things is so similar to his, it's weird.
