The drama taught me that every single one of us fighting our own demon inside whether it's about mental illness or sadness.
I agree everyone has some type of sadness in them and is fighting their own demons no matter how big or small
It also taught me that having flaws and bad traits are something we need to accept and live with. That there will be people who will accept us no matter who we are.

A common misconception about this show is that people seem to expect Gang Tae to be the light that guides his brother but forgetting that he too, while isnt autistic, is also human. I read comments about how people say it seemed uncalled for that he was complaining about his issues compared to what his brother had to go through. Those comments were rubbish, doesn't mean you're going through a different or a less, difficult hardship than another, you shouldnt feel more or less miserable. His feelings are valid. As everyone else's is. During the second half of the 16 episodes when Sang Tae started looking after his brother and consoling him saying that he is the elder brother makes me tear everytime seeing how he overcame everything and realizing that his little brother needs help too.

Exactly...ST has to live that way because of his autism.But a person like GT going through more harder times bounding himself within not connecting with people freely but with detachment , loosing his self worth bcz his mother told him she only bring him to this world to protect his brother-- his mother loved him but never has shown it directly as a soft child mind he only captured that thing in himself because he is holding onto his mom's words and his selfishness in childhood he is fighting within and with himself his reaction and complains are normal guys...
Exactly. Dumb or less experience people think that being too selfless is righteous and a good thing but it's not. Existence just for someone else sake without freedom? You take care of them but who will take care of you?
This was so rightly said. Well in fact, I was living in a situation just like Gang Tae with a brother needing extra help and me being the carer that was often ignored of. I can really relate to how the drama portrayed the feeling and the feeling of helplessness and being ignored. Perhaps this was not so relatable to those that don't have similar experience but I hope that any help and comfort can be given to these silent heroes.
The three of them were lights for each other in their own ways, Sangtae is the light for Munyeong and Gangtae, Munyeong is the light for Gangtae and Sangtae, and Gantae is for them. This drama shows how each of us is important and have our own roles for others.. The more you watch and let it sink, the more you realize all the values the writer and director want you to know💕
The reason why we attach to this drama is we actually living like them. Our heart drenched with pain yet we act like nothing. For those who said this story is hard to understand, they might live a good life since child.

This is the first K-drama I've seen where the fictional characters symbolize something so real and relatable. Their weaknesses, struggles, trauma, and brokenness... and then to take all that grittiness and turn it into healing... truly a masterpiece. It will be difficult to surpass. Regardless of whether they get an award, they have already accomplished their purpose.

Noticed he always wears blue or checkered polo. There’s a psychological meaning for that. It’s interesting. Blue symbolizes calmness, dependability, trust. Checkered polo means like a checkered career, where he always hops form one job to another. There’s always symbolism in this drama.

I'm a mother of two kids. My older kid is a boy with "special need". And my second Kid (the youngest) is a girl. Watching Kang Tae reminds me about my girl. How she feel the responsibility to taking care of her brother, even though she is younger. I remember once when she said she wanted to be in the same school with her brother cuz she want to watch n took care of her brother. I felt grateful and sad in the same time. She was only 5 y.o that time!
I cried a river watching the scene when Sang Tae's on his episode (Tantrum) in the mall and all eyes are on Sang Tae and Kang Tae. I remember cuz it was happens on me many times on us. Mixed feeling of Frustration, overwhelmed, humiliated, feel like being judged by people eyes.. and the the most was Sad for my son.
We're doing good now. they get along well and together we learn how to handle that kind of situation and how to prevent that. And we can do all of that because of LOVE. :)
And yes, we should not judge people by first impression on one or two situations.
Let's enjoy the next episodes if this drama. ^^

I often hear people who dislike this drama bcs of its unstable plot, romance that are not lovely and lines that are repeated. I'm not going to disrespect your opinion but I think they dont understand the real message of this drama. Tbh even though this drama are marketed as romantic drama, I believe its mental awareness message is the real theme.
"Gang tae only belongs to Gang Tae", basically means that ourself should top everyone else.
"The heart can be a liar but not our face",
basically means no matter how hard youre trying to hide your emotions and how you believe no one notices the changes in you.. you should know that your feelings are clearly shown through your face, so either someone will talk to you about it or not depends on who did you put first in your life.
This drama and Itaewon Class literally trying to deliver a message that we're strong and are not alone. Thus, why, so much people are hating on it bcs if you cant understand the real point, the drama gonna look dull and boring 💌
It was also promoted as a healing drama and the casts even kept saying that in their interviews.
And that's another thing that spells poor intelligence for me, cause I thought the plot was Excellent and not unstable in the least....just some stupid pricks who can't understand that this drama is written in line with most fairy tales, which often displays the villians as just there and don't bothered to waste time in making an epic explanation/backstory for just how or why the villain came to be....other than the fact that they're just There to torment the hero and heroine of the tale....
Which seems to be the Only thing a couple of idiots miss about this drama....with that being said, this is the Best Kdrama out there and the reason Why I know this is true is because this is the only kdrama I can't seem to put down! And I keep going back to re-listen to its soundtracks too, something I've Never done for any other kdrama i've watched....something about this one, something about the relationship between Gangtae and Ko moon young, something about their affection for each other, is just UNIQUE, Period. Its Not something you see in most other dramas....
No Wonder their kiss scene in ep 11 broke the Internet in the sheer number of viewers (over 4 million now) And put to shame all other kiss scenes in kdrama

It ends with Park Sae Ro Yi succesfully took over the most precious thing the villain have (his company). Doesn't that mean his revenge is succesful? Soo A, I believe is the 2nd female lead, the one who ended up open her own restaurant, what about her? She's there, I believe, to potray one of the many challenges the main lead need to face. Then, 'sticking to his believe', I believe he fulfilled that. He believed that he can achieve his goal (taking a revenge) even if it takes him more than 7 years and he did that. He believe in himself and in what he can achieve. Doesn't that mean he yook the lane he believe is right? Do correct me if im wrong anywhere.
What I learned from this beautiful drama, that Love does not only mean loving others romantically, but is also found in your friends, family, and most importantly, from yourself.
In the world of dramas korean dramas are at the top. This drama is at the top of all heartfelt korean dramas. This is not a drama, it is something beyond you have ever seen. It speaks to your heart and makes you a better human being. Simply , a masterpiece. Acting, directing, screen writing, cinematography, Music and the OST and everything is so beautifully done it is almost unbelievable.

Soy de ver muy poco series, pero este tipo de dramas fue exquisito a la vista, perspectiva, hay una escena donde Go Moon Young le pide perdón llorando a Moon Sang Tae mientras que este le daba de comer, no es una escena de novela, no es escena de nada .... no imagino las horas de horas que tuvieron que trabajar dicha escena para esos minutos. Yo pensé que después de CLOY, no habría nada igual, pero fue espectacular este drama y el final, aplausos para ese final. Mención aparte para el actor que hizo de Moon Sang Tae, me la creí su actuación. Pensé que era de los pocos que evaluaban como los has hecho. Saludos!

This drama is a revolution in the history of kdramas. I've watched countless cliches that were predictable.
But this drama is a masterpiece that I couldn't figure out at any point. Plus, the subject of traumas, autism, letting your inner child grow up and finding solace within people who hurt you and heal you at the same time has never been created in such a harmony before.
Amazing soundtracks too. I will forever love this drama.

I need to rewatch it. Am very sad right now and this amazing show helps me to cry and get it out if that makes sense. It really is beautiful and painful and hopeful.

I think the issue with his mom is because at such young age, he was already given a responsibility instead of living the best of his youth. That's why he frequently reminisce only the memories that he pitied himself.
(I cried to the part where he cries to Sang-tae realizing that his mom also cared for him but he's still hurting)
This drama hits different because it can happen to any of us and constantly reminds us that it's definitely okay not to be okay. I hope everyone dealing with mental health struggle or hurting can all be someday, okay ^^ I hope we all can.
