"My brother wanted to kill me." This part crushed me.
Same. I wish someone could correct him but in Sang Tae state at the time such action would maybe aggravated him more. But looking at how shock Kang Tae is, that he couldn't move/chase his brother after but just inching closer to the wall with such pain... I just can't help it for feeling more for Kang Tae.
I just finished that episode and balled my eyes out. Gang Tae is crushed & I wished Moon Young could rush towards him to comfort him 😭 their acting touched my heart

The reason the subtitle of Episode 9 was "The King's Ears are the Donkey's Ears" is because of the ending yesterday.😭
I was shocked like the other characters trying to process what's happening but I think referring to episode 9 's title, that was probably the time Sang Tae hated Gang Tae and held it against him. Just like Mun Yeong said if you keep it(secrets) to yourself, you will feel burdened or stressed (?). Everyone has their limitations so when Gang Tae lied to Sang Tae, it was his last straw so the resentment burst out. If we go back to previous episodes where Sang Tae fell into the cold water, Gang Tae really had the thought to let him die or that's what Sang Tae thinks and for Gang Tae, even though at that time he probably meant no harm because kids who lacked attention will naturally think that way. However for your own brother to say that or think that and hated you for it, you will feel guilty and disappointed at yourself.
Kim soo hyuns acting made me cry my eyes out. And though I understand sang tae and how hurt he would be I felt for gang tae in that moment because not only did he regret that hesitation he had his whole life but sang tae actually left him and he could have possibly died. that scene just broke my heart
imagine being born thinking that your only purpose in this world is to take care of someone else; losing yourself throughout the way, not knowing who you really are because you’re tied down to the responsibility of someone else’s life in your hands.
Every character in this drama is really strong and showed their own hardships 😭 best drama ever 😭😭

this drama is not just a love story of two people who are both broken BUT this kdrama is the story of all of us. We are Gang Tae and Mun Yeong at times. We are them in a way that only us will understand. More on feeling sad and always crying because of the scenes, they are teaching us something else. They are making us feel that what we are feeling is valid. It is okay to not be okay at times. We dont have to keep it inside. You are not alone in this world. Someone, somewhere is feeling what you are feeling right now. Hold on to that little hope. You matter.

every scene feels warm, it feels like I'm inside their world witnessing every characters life. their emotions can really be felt, the message can be clearly conveyed to the viewers and I've never felt this happy ang anxious while waiting for every episode. Every person has their story to tell and this drama made me realize that everyone is trying to heal from unspoken wounds. i can't wait to cry next episode huhu

Kim Soo Hyun really know what to choose a drama that will show his true potential as an artist. Alongside with his labelmate (Seo YeaJi) that every words/phrase she said it will knock your sense and be in dilemma, every casts are considered prime to their characters they are showing, Oh Jung Se portraying an autistic character is worthy to have standing ovation. What makes IOTNBO different is its storytelling. The plot is just so simple yet it was directed in a very creative way. We've already seen a lot of kdramas tackling abt past traumas, and childhood troupe clichés, etc. But all of those weren't really relatable unlike IOTNBO.
Oh My God i can relate to this so much 😭😭 Since Goblin i have watched A LOT of other dramas but Goblin still remains number One for me 😄 but just like you if IOTNBO continues to be so amazing until the end i might change it ❤️😩🙏
Been watching dramas for 10+ yrs and never been sooo obsessed like this before. The OSTs, directing, casting every thing goes harmoniously. Every side characters have story of their own and feels like the main lead. THIS DRAMA DESERVES MORE LOVE AND RECOGNITION!!!
문영이 하는 행동은 다 사이코처럼 보고 막던 강태가 처음으로 막지 않고 오히려 본인이 무대의 주인공이라고 상상하고 부러워하는 그 씬에서 이 노래가 나와서 짠함이 배가 되었는데 드디어 나왔다 ㅠㅠㅠ 이 드라마는 누가 나빠서 실패하고, 누가 착해서 성공하는 일면적인 드라마들과 다르게 사회에서 나쁘다고 판단되는 사람도 제각각의 환경이 사정이 있고, 마냥 착하다고 판단되는 사람도 본능적으로 이기심이 있고 그 이기심이 결코 나쁜게 아니라는 걸 알려주는 정말 좋은 명작 드라마인것같다 로맨스이기 이전에 늘 무언가를 깨닫게 만드는 드라마 ㅠ
거기에 조울증 환자가 에피소드를 보이는 거였지만, 그것도 막았어야 하는게 맞는지도 모르겠지만, 그냥 자유롭게 거하게~ 한 판 놀고 즐기게 해주는 게... 그게 치유가 아닐까 생각이 들어서 눈물이 났다. 감동적이었음...

The scene that stuck out to me the most so far was in the beginning of episode 10, where Munyeong was chasing Gang-tae after he was confronted by Sang-tae. Munyeong tried to convince Gang-tae that he didn't want his brother to drown in the river, that he wasn't going to leave him because of cruelty, but because he was a coward. It was then that he confirmed what Sang-tae said in the hospital. He was going to leave his brother in the river because he wanted his brother to die. Munyeong asks Gang-tae if he's going to live the rest of his life making up for what he did that day. Then, just when I think I won't cry, Gang-tae replies tearfully, "why did you save me from the river that day? You should've just left me to die. If I had died that day, I wouldn't have to live this way." It was in that moment where I felt all the pain of his character. He would have rather died then live with the pain and burden of taking care of his brother. He wants to let go of this pain and finally be free, but there's always a part of him that doesn't let him do that. His refusal to NOT BE OKAY and his obligation that he feels towards his brother is tearing him apart, and this scene depicted Gang-tae's suffering perfectly.

Every scene had a meaning to it and I could just empathize with each one so deeply. Talking about their chemistry would be such an easy compliment, I'd rather mention how profound and honest are these two individuals to have performed with such sincere and intense conviction. Every scene, every dialogue, every ost is crafted with the precision of a master jeweler. Without disregarding any actor for each has done a fantastic job, the actor playing the role of Sang-tae is mind blowing! Portraying an autistic person with such faithfulness and care... commendable! Both Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji are gifted with looks especially the latter with the magnificent voice but none of it can surpass how brilliant of an actor these two are, how beautifully they brought their characters to life! So much respect and admiration!❤️

When he cut her hair for her... that scene was so emotional and beautiful. 😭 And the way they smiled at each other warmed my heart 😭 you can feel how much they really love and care for each other. They both understand each other in ways that others don’t. This is by far my favorite drama, & it’s not even done airing! 😭
KIm Soo Hyun never disappoints. THis drama is out of the world- all the actors, the plot , OSt and the cinematography are out of this world. What I like about it the most is how they portrayed our inner struggles, how the society judge us based on our past and how hard we try to hide our feelings just for our family and the people around us to the point that we no longer know who we really are. This is a must watch dram, the message on mental-awareness is close to my heart.
Let this comment be a reminder of how perfect this drama is. Mark my word, someday this drama will be legendary ❤️🥰

Perhaps in medical terms, and in normal perspective, he was having a dangerous episode. To me I saw someone finally having fun, liberated from his devils. Also he (finally) learned to be responsible afterwards, so...
as someone who’s been watching kdramas since 2014, i’ve never been so emotionally connected with a kdrama like IOTNBO, every episode just hits me differently.. and this says a lot because i am naturally an emotional person but i just never felt connect with a kdrama until i watched this drama
