Sheesh, this is a tough song to listen to when you're feeling almost exactly what dude is saying. It's a long story, but in a nutshell: a woman that I have history with dating back to 2008 (I was 20-ish, she was 19-ish) and then had sporadic communication over the years, came back into my life last year. I've been on an emotional rollercoaster with her for the last 6 months. She's absolutely perfect, I can't find any flaws in her. As a sidenote: I don't fall like this. I've been "doin' my thang" all these years. But she's always had a special place in my heart and her coming back into my life has been a blessing. I'm just not certain that she feels exactly the way that I do. I hope soon that this song won't be a sad one to me and I'll be able to smile because she's by my side.
